NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work at the Public Works Department, Public Works Contracting Group, 1010 Second Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified. Plans and specifications can be obtained from The City of San Diego's website: http://www.sandiego.gov/bids-contracts. A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. Bids/proposals from small businesses, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and local firms are strongly encouraged. Contractors are encouraged to subcontract and/or participate in joint ventures with these firms. As a property owner, tenant or person who has requested notice, you should know that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to approve, conditionally approve, or deny an application for a Tentative Parcel Map and Site Development Permit to amend Otay Mesa Development Permit No.s 86-0606 and 87-0180 to subdivide an existing commercial and light industrial development with two lots into eight lots, with one nonconforming lot, with eight existing buildings on 38.2 acres located at 9375 Customhouse Plaza and 9051 Siempre Viva Road in the Otay Mesa Development District. This application was deemed complete on April 12, 2013.
This project was determined to be categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act on October 3, 2013 and the opportunity to appeal that determination ended October 24, 2013.
The decision of the Planning Commission is final unless the project is appealed to the City Council. In order to appeal the decision of the Planning Commission you must be present at the public hearing and file a speaker slip concerning the application or have expressed interest by writing to the Planning Commission before the close of the public hearing. Please do not e-mail appeals as they will not be accepted. See Information Bulletin 505 “Appeal Procedure”, available at www.sandiego.gov/development-services or in person at the office of the City Clerk, 202 "C" Street, Second Floor. The appeal must be made within 10 working days of the Planning Commission decision.
