NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY DECISION BY THE
SAN DIEGO COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
TO ISSUE A RENEWAL FEDERAL TITLE V OPERATING PERMIT
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Regulation XIV - Title V Operating Permits of the San Diego Air Pollution Control District's Rules and Regulations, the Air Pollution Control Officer has made a preliminary decision to approve application APCD2010-APP- 001040, for removal of Title IV Acid Rain requirements and a renewal of federal Title V Operating Permit APCD2008-PTO-960392, for Applied Energy LLC, North Island, a combined heat and power facility located at Quay and Rogers Road #370, San Diego, CA 92135.
The District performed an evaluation of the air pollution impacts of this proposal. The equipment is expected to operate in compliance with all applicable District Rules and Regulations and all applicable federal requirements. The proposed Title V Operating Permit incorporates conditions necessary to ensure compliance with all federal and District requirements. The facility is currently operating in compliance with District requirements.
The District is seeking comments on the renewal of the Title V Operating Permit for this facility. Written comments concerning the District's proposed action may be submitted for a period of 30 days, commencing on February 5, 2014, and ending on March 7, 2014.
