NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that San Dieguito Union High School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 o'clock p.m. on the 20th day of February 2014, sealed statements of qualifications (SOQ) from General Contractors (Firm(s)) duly licensed and qualified based on the analysis of Statements of Qualifications from experienced contractor teams that have constructed stadium and field projects at K-12 schools using the LLB delivery method.

Firm(s) must be fully bondable and insured pursuant to District guidelines and hold an active General Building Contractor (B) License, which is current, valid and shall remain in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Other qualification requirements are outlined in the RFQ.

SOQ shall be received in the office of the Facilities Planning and Construction Department, SAN DIEGUITO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT located at 684 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024.

The National Joint Powers Alliance® (NJPA) issues this Invitation For Bid (IFB) on behalf of, and to provide Indefinite Quantity Construction Contracting (IQCC) services to all current and potential NJPA Members including all government agencies, education agencies to include colleges and universities, and non-profit agencies in the State of California. It is the intention of NJPA to award multiple contracts for construction services in the areas of Riverside and San Diego Counties. Each contract has an estimate annual value of $2,000,000 and the term of the contract is four years.

IQCC is a construction contracting procurement system that provides facility owners' access to competitively bid “on-call” general contractors to provide immediate construction services over an extended period of time.

Intending bidders are required to attend the pre-bid seminar for the purpose of discussing the IQCC procurement system, the contract documents, and bid forms. Mandatory pre-bid seminar will be held as follows:

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR PREQUALIFICATION

California Assembly Bill (AB) 1565 went into effect on January 1, 2014. AB 1565 requires ALL General Contractors and M/E/P Subcontractors be prequalified, if the contract is valued at $1 million or more and funded whole or in part with State Facility Bond funds. This applies to the following license numbers:

--- Mechanical, Engineering, and Plumbing subcontractors ("MEPs"): C-4, C-7,
C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46

Prequalification requirements vary based on the District's estimated value of the work, not the contractors actual bid amount. As projects become available, prequalified bidders will receive advance notice from the District of upcoming projects for which they have been deemed qualified to bid, and may choose to bid any or all of the projects for which they are prequalified.

The District must receive applications at least Ten (10) days prior to the scheduled bid opening on any advertised project in order for the candidate to qualify for that project. Pre-qualification approval will remain valid for one (1) calendar year from the date of notice of qualification except as noted in the pre-qualification documents.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive irregularities in any response received. The District also reserves the right to solicit bids from outside of the prequalified pool as determined by the District to be in its best interest.

All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in confidence, and the District will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

Senior Community Centers (SCC)
Request for Proposal # CDBG 2013

SCC is soliciting proposals from General Contractors to provide Elevator Upgrades (Aut-O-Safe® Emergency Return Unit (ERU) and Elevator ceiling lighting with (6) ECI LED down lights), Boiler Work (Replacement of the (2) two existing 85% Lochinvar with (2) two Raypak 99% Xtherm boilers), and Security Camera System installation (wiring, DVR, and camera). Interested and qualified firms, including disadvantaged and women owned small business, are invited to submit a proposal. The solicitation packet with complete instructions is available at Potiker Family Senior Residences, 525 14th Street, San Diego, CA 92101.

There is no cost to obtain a set of bid documents and there will be no bid conference. All proposals to be considered must be submitted, via sealed bid marked “RFP # CDBG 2013”, on or before February 28, 2014 at 4:30 pm PST, to the attention of Kathy Parker, 525 14th Street, Suite 200, San Diego, CA 92101. Late bids will not be accepted. The public bid opening will take place at the same location on March 3, 2014 at 10 am PST and the lowest response will be awarded the contract. Bidders DO NOT need to be present.

This project is funded with CDBG funds, all bids are subject to federal Davis Bacon prevailing wages and SCC may require, prior to execution of the contract that you furnish a bond from a surety approved by SCC, for 100% payment and performance of the contract. Section 3, MBE WBE contractors are encouraged to participate.
