PORT-WIDE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
SAN DIEGO AND NATIONAL CITY
The work to be executed includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and ancillary items necessary to construct physical and electronic access control and security technology at Main Gates at Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal (TAMT) and National City Marine Terminal (NCMT), as well as upgrade / renovation work at 1 other location, at the Port of San Diego as Base Bid Work (Bid Schedule A), as shown on drawings and herein specified. The construction of physical and electronic access control and security technology at Rear Gate of TAMT is identified in the Bid Schedule as Bid Schedule B and is an Additive Alternate to Base Bid Schedule A, as shown on drawings and herein specified. The construction of physical and electronic access control and security technology at Rear Gate of NCMT is identified in the Bid Schedule as Bid Schedule C and is an Additive Alternate to Base Bid Schedule A as shown on drawings and herein specified. The work is to be performed at the National City Marine Terminal (NCMT), the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal (TAMT), the B Street Cruise Terminal (BSCT), and the Port Administration Building. This includes utilizing the existing Port District communications network. All locations listed are to have their equipment installed and configured to operate in a stand-alone type of application, however, systems must be designed and configured to allow for Port-Wide integration of all locations under a future contract
The magnitude of this work is in the range of $467,500.00 - $632,500.00.
The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, Classification A with C-7 or C-10 Subcontractor, or C-7 or C-10 at the time the contract is submitted.
Bids will be opened in public at or about that hour at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, all as more particularly contained in Document No. 52838 on file in the office of the Clerk of the District. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the date set for bid opening.
A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.

Shipment of plans and specifications by Federal Express is available at Bidder's expense (please provide a completed airbill with your request). The purchase price and cost of shipment are not refundable. One set of plans and specifications will be made available by the District to local plan file services.
In the public interest, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
