The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for construction of Spring Valley Outfall Sewer Rehabilitation at two piers, Oracle Project No. 1000528, (RFB 525). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on March 16, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work to be Done consists in general of removing approximate 200Õ of 24-inch steel pipe and installing approximately 200Õ of ductile iron pipe, supported by two piers. An inspection of the construction site is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the project site. Contractors are to meet at the gate along Quarry Road off of Sweetwater Road. The project is located east of Quarry Road north of Sweetwater Road (Thomas Guide 1290, J6, 2005 Edition). The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or Classification C-42, Sanitation System Contractor. The project is located in the vicinity of Spring Valley. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $250,000.00 to $300,000.00. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $14.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Suite 1111, (Bldg 11, MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123-1249. Full-size plans may be obtained at the Department of Purchasing and Contracting, referenced above, at an additional cost of $0.50 per sheet (including tax). Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. Full-size plans will not be sent to full-size plan holders when plans are revised and issued as addenda unless reordered. Only revised reduced plans will be issued as necessary with addenda. Full-size plans will contain only the revisions made to the plans at the time of issuance. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30 mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $3.50 per set of documents. The County of San Diego is requesting quotations from qualified firms for the renovation of an existing playground facility at Lincoln Acres Park in National City, CA. The new facility includes, but is not limited to the removal and replacement of an existing play structure, removal and replacement of concrete paving, installation of owner provided play structures and other general site improvements. California contractor license requirement is either Classification A General Engineering or Classification B General Building Contractor. Estimated cost is between $35,000-$40,000. The project is funded through the federal Community Development Block Grant Program, as administered by the County of San Diego. ContractorÕs quotations shall comply with all applicable Federal requirements including Federal Prevailing Wage Rate criteria and Statutes of the Federal Labor Standards provisions HUD-4010. A job walk will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Lincoln Acres Park, 2725 Granger Ave., National City, CA. 91950. Quotation packages will be handed out at the job walk and will be available at the Department of Purchasing & Contracting at no charge.
