NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT APPROVING TO MAINTAIN STATUTORY SCHOOL FACILITY FEES IMPOSED ON NEW RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO EDUCATION CODE SECTION 17620 AND GOVERNMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education (“Board”) of the Poway Unified School District ("School District") will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Meeting to be held on March 17,2014, to allow for public comment prior to consideration of its reports titled "Residential Development School Fee Justification Study for Poway Unified School District" and "Commercial/Industrial Development School Fee Justification Study for Poway Unified School District" ("Fee Studies"), and consider adopting a resolution of the Board of the School District to maintain Statutory School Facility Fees Imposed on New Residential and Commercial/Industrial Construction Pursuant to Education Code Section 17620 and Government Code Section 65995. The Fee Studies justifying such fees, which are incorporated herein by this reference, are on file at the School District's Planning Department at the Twin Peaks Center located at 13626 Twin Peaks Road, Poway, California, and are available for public review from March 6, 2014 through March 17, 2014.

The Public Hearing of the School District, to be held March 17, 2014 will begin at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as practicable, at the Community Room at the Poway Unified School District Office, located at 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, California. These matters will be considered at such time as this agenda item is considered by the Board of the School District.
