LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
FOR ADOPTION OF A MINOR AMENDMENT TO THE
SPHERE OF INFLUENCE FOR THE LAKESIDE SANITATION DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., on April 4, 2005, in Rooms 302-303, County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, to consider the above referenced proposal.
The territory includes approximately 4.83 acres and is located north of Woodside Avenue, east of Magnolia Avenue, south of Scripps Poway Parkway, and west of SR-67. (Thos. Bros. pg. 1232 A/2).
State Law requires that notification of the impending amendment be published in a newspaper serving the area, and that property owners and registered voters located in the affected territory and within 300 feet of the exterior boundary of the subject property be individually notified.
At the hearing, the Commission will hear any person who wishes to speak and will consider the application and report of the Executive Officer. The files may be examined in the LAFCO office. For further information, please call (619) 531-5400.

RFB 524 - Metal Beam Guard Railing at Various Locations
The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for construction of Metal Beam Guard Railing at various locations, Oracle Project No. 1005469, ARMS Activity No. 4C5003, (RFB 524). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on March 30, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work to be Done consists in general of installing metal beam guard railing at various locations in the unincorporated areas of the County of San Diego. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, Classification C-13, Fencing Contractor, or Classification C-32, Parking and Highway Improvement. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $825,000.00 to $875,000.00. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $14.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Suite 1111, (Bldg 11, MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123-1249. Documents will be available on Wednesday March 9. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30_mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $3.50 per set of documents. Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation: A DVBE goal of three percent (3%) has been established for this project in accordance with Board of SupervisorÕs Policy B-39a.
