RFB 524 - Metal Beam Guard Railing at Various Locations
The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for construction of Metal Beam Guard Railing at various locations, Oracle Project No. 1005469, ARMS Activity No. 4C5003, (RFB 524). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on March 30, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work to be Done consists in general of installing metal beam guard railing at various locations in the unincorporated areas of the County of San Diego. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, Classification C-13, Fencing Contractor, or Classification C-32, Parking and Highway Improvement. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $825,000.00 to $875,000.00. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $14.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Suite 1111, (Bldg 11, MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123-1249. Documents will be available on Wednesday March 9. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30_mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $3.50 per set of documents. Contact cashier at (858) 694-2150 to arrange mail service. Make checks payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation: A DVBE goal of three percent (3%) has been established for this project in accordance with Board of SupervisorÕs Policy B-39a. Payment and Performance Bonds: successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply.
