NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the NATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ("District") of National City, CA, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the District will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 p.m. of the 29th day of March, 2005, sealed bids for the award of a contract for the following:
1. ASPHALT PAVING AT NATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, Bid No.
04-05.1AS.
2. MILLWORK AT NATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, Bid No. 04-05.5MW
3. PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF FLOORING AT NATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, Bid No. 04-05.6FL

Bids shall be received in the Office of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services of the National School District located at the National School District Administration Center, 1500 N Avenue, National City, CA and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which are now on file and may be obtained on March 8, 2005, at the Business Services Department of the National School District located at 1500 N Avenue, National City, CA 91950.
Bidders may request a bid packet to be mailed by calling (619) 336-7710 and will be billed for the actual cost of mailing bid documents and drawings plus a $5.00 processing fee.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.*
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The lowest bid shall be the lowest total of the bid prices on the base contract as set forth in the bid form.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
*A payment bond must be filed for a contract involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000 (Civil Code section 3247(a)) and may be required for contracts involving smaller expenditures at the option of the District.
The following Prebid Conferences and Site Walks will be held for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site:
1. Asphalt Paving Ð March 16, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. in the Business Services Conference Room, 1500 N Avenue, National City, CA 91950
2. Millwork Ð March 17, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in the Business Services

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification:
1. C12 Ð Earthwork and Paving Contractor
2. C6 Ð Cabinet, Millwork, & Finish Carpentry
3. C-15 Ð Flooring and Floor Covering Contractor
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cajon Valley Union School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than two o'clock p.m., of the 30th day of March, 2005 sealed bids for the award of a contract for

RE-ROOFING PROJECT
Cajon Valley Middle School,
Johnson Elementary School & Meridian Elementary School

Bids shall be received in the PURCHASING OFFICE OF CAJON VALLEY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT located at 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Written questions regarding this bid will be received either by fax (619-579-4888) or at the above address until 9:00 a.m. until January 12, 2005 should be directed to Charles Allen, Network Engineer, (619) 593-4634.
A job walk will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at 9:30 a.m beginning at Cajon Valley Middle School, 395 Ballantyne, El Cajon, CA 92020 for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. It is imperative that all bidders attend this conference.
Estimated cost of the project for Bid 1190 is $850,000. Questions regarding this bid should be directed to John Forrest, Construction Projects Supervisor, (619) 588-3651, or Susan Olinger, Purchasing & Warehousing Director at (619) 588-3266.

Please call (619) 588-3010 to confirm bid packages and plans are ready for pick up. Bid packages and plans will also be available at the job walk.
