The San Diego Unified Port District seeks proposals from qualified firms to SAP R3 upgrade services. Notice is hereby given that the Procurement Services Department, First Floor, of the San Diego Unified Port District will receive sealed bids at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, until 2:00 P.M. on the 16th day of April 2008 for:

TAMT “DOLE” STACKER
PADS REPAIR
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
Work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to install continuous steel bent plates at each seating side of stacker pads by welding new plates to existing plates, place and weld shim plates, inject and drypack concrete grout in space between new and existing plates, and other incidental item of work as shown on the drawings and as specified in the specifications. The project is located at Dole refrigerated container facility at Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal, San Diego, California.
The magnitude of this work is in the range of $169,000.00 - $229,500.00.
The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, Classification A at the time the contract is submitted.
Bids will be opened in public at or about that hour at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, all as more particularly contained in Document No. 52963 on file in the office of the Clerk of the District. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the date set for bid opening.
A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on April 2, 2008, in Conference Room 1 at the District Administration Building.
Plans and specifications are available for download on Port of San Diego website, www.portofsandiego.org. Plans and specifications may also be purchased for $40.00 per each set on or about March 17, 2008, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding District holidays, from Corporate Services Print Shop, San Diego Unified Port District, P.O. Box 120488, San Diego, CA 92112-0488, or picked up in person at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, Telephone Number (619) 686-6320. Shipment of plans and specifications by Federal Express is available at Bidder's expense (please provide a completed airbill with your request). The purchase price and cost of shipment are not refundable. One set of plans and specifications will be made available by the District to local plan file services.
In the public interest, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
