Notice of Public Hearing
The City of San Diego University Heights Recreation Council will be making a recommendation on the proposed renovation of the tot lot at Mission Hills neighborhood Park (also known as Pioneer Park).
Mission Hills Neighborhood Park is located in the Mission Hills community of San Diego at 1521 Washington Place. The existing tot lot is located in the northeast corner of Mission Hills Neighborhood Park, south of Washington Place and adjacent to Grant Elementary School
The park is located in the Mission Hills planning area.
The proposed renovation of the tot lot will remove all existing play equipment and sand surfacing. New play equipment, rubberized surfacing and sand surfacing will be installed in its place. The boundaries of the tot lot will remain as is. New site furniture such as benches and picnic tables will be added immediately adjacent to the tot lot.
The applicant is the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department. The project manager for the Park and Recreation Department is Charles Daniels, 202 C Street, MS 35, San Diego, California 92101, phone (619) 533-6597.
The University Heights Recreation Council hearing will be held on April 3, 2008, at 5:30 PM at Birney Elementary School, 4345 Campus Avenue, San Diego, California, 92116.
Public testimony will be considered at this hearing. Appeals to the decision(s) of the University Heights Recreation Council can be filed at the City Clerk's office within ten (10) working days.
