EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR PAINTING PROJECT

MAGNOLIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Bids shall be received in the PURCHASING DEPARTMENT of the CAJON VALLEY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT located at 225 Roanoke Road, El Cajon, CA 92020 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
A job walk will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at Magnolia Elementary School, 650 Greenfield Dr., El Cajon, CA 92021 for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. Contract documents should be printed by bidder and brought to job walk.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents.  The contract documents are now available for no charge at the Cajon Valley Union School District website, www.cajonvalley.net, Click on "Quick Find", "Bids / Quotations", "Construction", "Bid #1310". If contract documents are downloaded, prospective bidder must contact bid administrator to be added to the bidder's list. Addendums will be posted to the same website at www.cajonvalley.net. It is the bidder's responsibility to confirm receipt of all addendums. Contract documents may also be obtained by contacting the bid administrator at (619) 588-3012, clays@cajonvalley.net.

Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
Cajon Valley Union School District will require a payment bond issued by an admitted surety approved to conduct business in the State of California in the form set forth in the contract documents from the successful bidder regardless of the contract amount.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder.  Prevailing Wage Determinations are available on the Internet under the Director of Industrial Relation's website:   http:///www.dir.ca.gov
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.  This contract is not subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids; three percent (3%) participation is encouraged. Bidders are encouraged to publish ads in a trade paper and DVBE focus paper as a good faith effort and provide any documentation with their bid.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed as a C-33 Painting or B-General as applicable.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

The City of Chula Vista (City) is circulating this Request for Proposal (RFP) requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide the City with Permanent Traffic Count Station system(s) to gather traffic flow information for the City's Traffic Monitoring Program. This RFP describes all the elements of the system(s), the required performance services, the vendor selection process, and the minimum information that must be included in the proposal. Failure to submit information in accordance with the RFP's requirements and procedures may be a cause for disqualification.
This RFP has been advertised on March 26, 2010. Award will be based on the vendor and the best-qualified proposal including procurement, installation, system set-up, City personnel training, risk of unanticipated delays, warranties, on-going data costs and maintenance, and evaluation of total cost of ownership.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “DISTRICT” will receive up to, but no later than Two o'clock p.m. of the 13th day of April, 2010, sealed bids for the award of a contract for Southwestern College Roofing Repairs to Various Buildings and Walkways.
Bids shall be received in the office of the Program Manager, Seville Construction services at Southwestern College, Room 1633, located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, CA 91910, and shall be opened on the date and at the time listed above.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which will be available after March 29th, 2010 and may be obtained at OCB Reprographics, 1200 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101, (619) 232-8440. A $150.00 refundable deposit will be required. Deposit will be retuned upon receipt of complete, undamaged contract documents. It shall be mandatory upon the Roofing Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is not subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300, and shall be licensed in the following classification: C-39 - Roofing Contractor. Any bidder not so licensed at the time of the bid opening will be rejected as non-responsive.
A MANDATORY bidders conference will be held at the quad adjacent to Building 440 on Tuesday April 6th, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of Sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
