THE METROPOLITAN TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT BOARD (MTDB), 1255 Imperial Avenue, Suite 1000, San Diego, CA 92101-7490, is requesting bids to perform the work, in general, of upgrading yard lighting at San Diego Transit Corporation?s (SDTC?s) Imperial Avenue Division (IAD) and Kearny Mesa Division (KMD) bus maintenance facilities in San Diego, California. The work includes removal of existing wall-mounted, high-pressure sodium (HPS) area lighting fixtures and low bay HPS lighting fixtures in bus service and brake inspection buildings: furnishing and installing new metal halide (MH) replacement lighting fixtures; new surface-mounted galvanized rigid steel conduit and junction boxes, new wiring, and all other work required or necessary to make a fully complete and operational lighting system; and procuring all materials and performing all the work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract BUS-10996 Contract Drawings, Standard Specifications, and Special Provisions. The engineer?s estimate for this work is $52,000. A prebid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, at 2:30 p.m., at MTDB.

HYDRAULIC HOIST REPLACEMENT PROJECT

METROPOLITAN TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT BOARD (MTDB), 1255 Imperial Avenue, Suite 1000, San Diego, CA 92101-7490, is requesting bids for performing the following work, in general, of replacement of a hydraulic vehicle hoist jack assembly in Building 100 at San Diego Transit Corporation's Kearny Mesa Division bus maintenance facility, 4630 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA. The work also includes concrete, demolition, excavation, removal, handling and
disposal of hydrocarbon contaminated soil; remove and dispose of hydraulic jack assembly, furnish and install new hydraulic jack assembly, install new hydraulic oil piping and reconnect existing hydraulic piping; install new backfill, aggregate base, reinforced concrete slab; and performing all other work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract BUS-11002 Contract Drawings and Special Provisions.
The engineer's estimate for this work is $49,000. A prebid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 2:30 p.m., at MTDB. The project manager is Ryan Boley (619-235-2633). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a Request for Proposal (RFP) has been released by the City of Chula Vista to seek proposals from qualified consultant firms to provide Dry Weather Analytical and Field Screening Monitoring Services to satisfy NPDES Municipal Storm Water Discharge Regulations for the City of Chula Vista.
A copy of the RFP can be obtained at the City of Chula Vista Public Services Building located at 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, CA, 91910. The Director of Public Works will receive proposals until 5:00 P.M. Friday March 28, 2003 from consulting firms qualified to perform the task. The qualified consultant will furnish all services as required to perform storm water outfall effluent sampling and testing for the City of Chula Vista.
