“As Needed Asphaltic Concrete Paving Service - FY 2014”

The Otay Water District, hereinafter referred to as “District”, hereby gives notice that bids for as needed asphaltic concrete paving services will be received by the District's Purchasing Office, located at 2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd., Spring Valley, CA 91978, until 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2013, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at the District's Administrative offices located at 2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd, Spring Valley, CA 91978 at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Prospective bidders will be provided with bid packages including work specifications during the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

All work is to be performed in accordance with State of California laws and statutes governing public work and prevailing wages.

Bids must be complete, submitted on the bid form provided by the District, and comply with the instructions contained within the bid package. Completed and sealed bids must be received by the District's Purchasing Office on or before the submittal deadline specified in this request.

Submitted bids must be sealed in an envelope and clearly identified on the outside with the following:

“As Needed Asphaltic Concrete Paving Service - FY 2014
Bid Opening: 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2013

Bids may not be submitted by telephone, telegraphic, electronic, or facsimile means. Bids received after the submittal deadline will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that San Dieguito Union High School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 2:00:00 o'clock p.m. of the 2nd day of May, 2013, sealed bids for the award of a contract for

Diegueno Middle School HVAC MAINTENANCE

Bids shall be received in the office of the Director of Purchasing, SAN DIEGUITO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT located at 684 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.

A pre-bid conference will be held on April 18, 2013 at 12:30 pm. for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. The pre-bid meeting will begin at the administrative offices located at Diegueno Middle School 2150 Village Park Way, Encinitas CA 92024. It is highly recommended that all bidders attend the pre-bid conference.

Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which are now on file and may be obtained after April 10, 2013, inquiries regarding this bid or how to obtain documents please contact the construction manager at Erickson Hall Construction Company - Michelle Coonan or Mike Riley at 760-796-7700 or mcoonan@ericksonhall.com.

Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.

In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000.00, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.

The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. The prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the State Director of Industrial Relations are AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET at the World Wide Website of the State Department of Industrial Relations at www.dir.ca.gov under Statistics and Research.

It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.

Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements.

This contract is not subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification:
