LEASE AGREEMENTS FOR
COUNTY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY

NOTICE IS GIVEN that it is the intention of the County of San Diego to accept proposals for the lease of apiary/bee keeping sites and to grant lease agreements for County-owned properties. The lease agreements have been prepared pursuant to the provisions of the State Government Code and County Administrative Code.

The properties are described as follows:
Boulder Oaks Preserve located south of Ramona between State Route 67 and Mussey Grade Road
Former Descanso Landfill located near Japatul Valley Road south of Interstate 8 in Descanso
Former Barrett Junction Bin Site located at 1090 Barrett Lake Road in Dulzura

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the use of the property will be granted as follows:
The leased sites shall be used solely for apiary purposes including the placement, operation and maintenance of beehives.

A copy of the Request for Proposals, proposed lease agreements and a description of the properties is on file and available for inspection at the Department of General Services Real Estate Services Division, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 410, San Diego, California 92123. The information is also available at www.sdcounty.ca.gov by accessing the Department of General Services page and clicking on Leasing Opportunities.

Responses to the Request for Proposals are due no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. The lease agreements will be executed at the Department of General Services, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 410, San Diego, California 92123 by the Director of General Services on or after May 12, 2015.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites bids for COUNTYWIDE ASPHALT CONCRETE OVERLAY FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015; ORACLE PROJECT NO. 1019235; BID No. 6862.

Sealed bids will be received at the Department of Purchasing and Contracting, at 5560 Overland Avenue, Ste. 270, San Diego, 92123, until 2:00 PM on May 14, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available for download on the County Buynet site: https://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov.You must be registered at the site in order to download documents. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $3,300,000 to $3,460,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that San Diego County Superintendent of Schools of the San Diego County Office of Education, California, hereinafter referred to as SDCOE, will receive up to, but not later than 10:00 A.M. (PST) of May 7, 2015, sealed Bids for the award of a contract for:

Bids shall be received in the Internal Business Office, Building 5, Room 501, San Diego County Office of Education, 6401 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111. The bid must be in a sealed envelope labeled "Bid - Vended Meals #1415-023" and addressed to the Supervisor, Purchasing and Contracts. Bids will be opened on this day immediately following the time for submission with a recap of submitted pricing being available at a later date. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. Parking is limited so plan accordingly. Oral, telephone, facsimile, or electronic submission of Bids will not be accepted.

Each Bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation and the Contract Documents and all plans, specifications and any other documents comprising the pertinent Contract Documents, copies of which are now on file and may be obtained after April 15, 2015 via email from bids@sdcoe.net or in the Purchasing/Contracts Supervisor office, SDCOE.

All Bidding Questions and Requests for Clarification will only be accepted in writing via e-mail to ATTN: Kimberly Castagnola, Bid Administrator, bids@sdcoe.net and must be received no later than April 28, 2015 at 3:00PM.

Award of Bid: SDCOE reserves the right to award a contract to the lowest responsible vendor with the highest score that meet the terms and conditions set forth in the Bid and contract documents. Criteria are outlined in the Bid documents. In addition, SDCOE will accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of SDCOE, i.e., the most qualified Bid will not necessarily be the Bid with the lowest cost. SDCOE reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bids or in the Bidding process, and to judge the merit and qualifications of the Bid and of the services offered.

No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the opening of Bids.
