NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that McCarthy Building Companies, in behalf of the San Diego Community College District (District) invites Subcontracting entities to complete and submit a Prequalification Application and other information referenced below, for purpose of prequalifying to submit a bid for the construction of specific trades for the following project (Project): PROJECT: PARKING STRUCTURE AND POLICE SUBSTATION
COLLEGE: MIRAMAR COLLEGE
SUBCONTRACTING TRADES: EARTHWORK, SITE UTILITIES, MASONRY,
MISCELLANEOUS METALS, ELEVATORS
Subcontracting Entities wishing to be considered for Prequalification (Applicants) must submit a Prequalification Application and other information as required by the Instructions to Applicants (Instructions) that are a part of the District Request for Prequalification of Subcontracting Entities for construction of the PARKING STRUCTURE AND POLICE SUBSTATION (Request for Prequalification), copies of which will be available commencing Friday, April 16, 2010, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., at McCarthy Building Companies Plan Room, 6165 Greenwich Drive Suite #340, San Diego, CA 92122.

The total Project Budget, inclusive of design and hard construction, is $13,861,083.
All Prequalification Application and other information required by the Request for Prequalification to be submitted by Applicants (Prequalification Submittals) shall be prepared in conformance with the Request for Prequalification using the forms referenced in or attached thereto. Prequalification Submittals shall be hand delivered to, or be received by mail at, McCarthy Building Companies, 6165 Greenwich Drive Suite #340, San Diego, CA 92122 at any time Monday through Friday during regular working hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., up to and including April 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. PST, which date and time are subject to change by McCarthy in accordance with the terms of the Instructions. The Applicant assumes full and sole responsibility for timely receipt of its completed Prequalification Submittal at the aforementioned location designated for receipt thereof. McCarthy, in behalf of the District shall identify the approved Subcontracting Entities based on the scoring of the Prequalification Submittals, who will then be invited to submit Subcontracting Bids for the Project. Local, small and emerging businesses are encouraged to participate.
