San Ysidro Health Center, Inc. is seeking to contract with a qualified General Contractor to demo and renovate its San Diego Children's Dental Clinic. This project is being funded in whole or part with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and subject to Federal Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages. Mandatory Project Job Walk will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013. All bids must be received by Friday, May 17th, 2013. MBE/WBE/Section 3 firms encouraged. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

for PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRM

The Little Italy Association, a public benefit corporation and the administrator of the Little Italy Association Business Improvement District and Community Benefit District (CBD) is seeking a professional services contractor to provide public relations for the Association's programs, activities and events.

The contract period shall commence on July 1, 2013 and end on June 30, 2014.

The selected public relations firm shall be responsible for special events, social media calendar/posts, Little Italy short video segments (coordination and concept of videos) and ongoing media relations on behalf of the Association. Those special events shall include, but not be limited to: the Little Italy FESTA!, Carnevale, the Little Italy Mercato, Taste of Little Italy, the Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village, Stickball Tournament, etc. The selected public relations firm shall work with the Association for media placement, advertising placement, media coverage, press releases, etc.

The Association seeks sponsorship of all of our events to offset costs and raise funds for the association. It is our desire to work with a PR firm that can enhance the sponsor sales solicitation efforts for these events. A 10% finder's fee will be paid for the net proceeds from any sponsors secured by the PR firm (net is the amount that comes to the association after out of pocket expenses resulting in servicing sponsor deliverables).

Proposals, including past and existing work on business districts or BIDs in San Diego, including at least 3 references, shall be submitted to the Association office by Friday, May 24, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
