SECURITY LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS
10TH AVENUE MARINE TERMINAL
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install new high intensity security lights and adjust existing flood lights; relocate transformer; disconnect and remove light poles; and remove fence and paint lines. All this proposed work is in the vicinity of Berths 10-1 and 10-2 of the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal (TAMT). Soils are known to contain contaminated materials. The Project is located at Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal, San Diego, California.
The magnitude of this work is in the range of $450,000.00 - $500,000.00.
The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, Classification A at the time the contract is submitted.
Bids will be opened in public at or about that hour at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, all as more particularly contained in Document No.
50390 on file in the office of the Clerk of the District. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the date set for bid opening.
A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on April 20, 2006
, in Conference Room 2 at the District Administration Building.

Plans and specifications may also be purchased for $40.00 per each set on or about April 6, 2006 during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding District holidays, from the Purchasing Department, San Diego Unified Port District, P.O. Box 120488, San Diego, CA 92112-0488, or picked up in person at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, Telephone Number (619) 686-6320. Shipment of plans and specifications by Federal Express is available at Bidder's expense (please provide a completed airbill with your request). The purchase price and cost of shipment are not refundable. The District will make one set of plans and specifications available to local plan file services.
It is the policy of the San Diego Unified Port District that certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of District Contracts. Certified SBEs with qualifying experience are encouraged to respond to the request for proposals/bids/quotes, etc.
In the public interest, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
