NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “DISTRICT” will receive up to, but no later than two o'clock 2:00 p.m. of the 21 day of April 2010, sealed bids for the award of a contract for Southwestern College:

Bids shall be received in the office of the Program Manager; Seville Construction Services at Southwestern College, Room 1631, located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, CA 91910, and shall be opened on the date and at the time listed above.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which will be available after April 8th, 2010 at Chula Vista Blueprint 26 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910 (619) 420-5500. A $150.00 refundable deposit will be required. Deposit will be retuned upon receipt of complete, undamaged contract documents. Documents can also be viewed, printed, or purchased from Chula Vista Blueprint's Online Plan room at the following web address: www.chulavistablueprint.com/ and click on View Bid List; A deposit is not required for online viewing and/or self printing.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract, which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request at Southwestern Community College. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal requirements.
This contract is subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b)of section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300, and shall be licensed in the following classification: B, C10, C20, C21, ASB/HAZ. Any bidder not so licensed at the time of the bid opening will be rejected as non-responsive.
Contractors shall have been in business under the same name and California contractor's license for a minimum of three (3) continuous years prior to bid opening.
Contractors shall provide a minimum of three (3) references for projects similar in scope, size and schedule, which have been successfully completed in the state of California in the last twelve (12) months.
A MANDATORY bidders conference will be held at Southwestern Community College, 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista 91910 on Thursday, April 15th, 2010 in Building 330, Room 335 at 1:00 PM for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of Sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Palomar Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “District”, will receive up to, but not later than 2:30 PM on the 27th day of April, 2010, sealed bids for the award of contracts for:

BID NO. B10-07 : Broadcast Equipment for Palomar College Television

This bid covers a total of six (6) separately biddable and separately awardable Bid Item Groups consisting of various types of equipment for the Palomar College Television department. Bid Item Group #1 also requires commission and training services along with the equipment. All equipment is to be delivered by approximately June 2, 2010 (and not later than June 11, 2010), with any required commissioning and/or training services performed and completed by June 30, 2010. The total budget for this bid is $350,000.
Such bids shall be received in the office of the Supervisor, Purchasing Services, Palomar Community College District, 1140 West Mission Road, Room A-8/A-10, San Marcos, California 92069-1487, at the above stated time and place; and such bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud promptly thereafter either in Room A-8/A-10 or in a larger room nearby.
Any bid received after the stated date and time will not be considered. Bids submitted and participation by interested bidders in the process shall be at no cost or obligation to the District.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the Information for Bidders, the Specifications, the Plans, if any, and all other documents comprising the pertinent contract documents. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Sweetwater Union High School District
announces the opening of three Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee positions. Proposition O was passed under the rules of Proposition 39, which directs that the Board of Trustees appoint a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee to monitor bond expenditures.
This Committee is responsible for reviewing expenditures related to the District's
$ 644 million general obligation bond, Proposition “O,” approved by the voters in
November, 2006.

Currently three committee members are needed in the following categories:
Business Organization Member
Senior Citizen Organization Member
Bone Fide Taxpayer Association Member

The oversight committee will not include any employee or official of the district or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the district.
