NOTICE CALLING FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 P.M., Thursday May 30, 2003, Statements of Qualifications for professional services. Services to include; topographic
survey and infrastructure mapping as well as infrastructure capacity analysis. Gafcon, Inc., representing the owner, will facilitate the process and the Statements of Qualifications should be addressed to: Gafcon, Inc. 701 B Street, Suite 1200, San Diego, CA 92101 Attn: John Miller. Respondent's submittals to include prior experience and capabilities to perform all of the services requested. The professional services requested are to: Perform a Survey of both Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College Campuses, an area encompassing approximately 300 total acres of which 212 acres are useable. Total acreages are to be confirmed by the consultant. The topographic survey should be provided in 3D digital and AutoCAD 2002 format. Orthographic Photos shall be included as deliverable item(s) and based on NAVD 88 (California Coordinate system) and NAVD83 (ZoneVI) horizontal and vertical datum's. A base map shall be provided at a horizontal scale of 1 inch equals 40 feet {1-inch=40} with the capacity to go to 1inch equals 20 feet {1-inch=20} for restricted work. Base map to be complete with 1-foot contour intervals and suitable as the basis for site planning and design. For issues of clarity, the topographic map when used as a base sheet for other information shall be layered to allow a larger contour interval. Additional spot elevations shall be provided to accurately define areas as follows: all areas obstructed from aerial viewing for the purpose of photogrammetry; areas at all grade breaks; top of walls elevations; and elevations for the definition of edge conditions along the perimeter of the
project, as required for the design of positive drainage, drainage structures and all other surface improvements. The topographic survey shall also include the validation of the horizontal and vertical locations of all existing wet and dry utilities and other improvements (surface and sub-surface) within the Study Area. Future planning needs and improvements are to be based on the Master Plan 2000 study compiled by Spencer/Hoskins Associates. Evaluation and verification of existing, (surface and sub-surface), utilities/improvements include, but are not limited to the following; all manholes/utility boxes, street monuments, curbs/gutters/sidewalks/hardscape, building appurtenances and footprints (with elevations at roof tops, doorways, ramps and stairs), sewer lines and appurtenances, storm drains and appurtenances, water lines and appurtenances, dedicated fire protection systems, telecommunications lines, gas/fuel lines, underground/overhead electrical distribution lines, and significant trees with 2 inch diameter trunks or more. In addition to the provision of all wet and dry (surface and sub-surface) utilities and improvements noted above, the consultant shall also verify and plot all recorded encumbrances affecting the study area. This shall include (but is not limited to) the following; All Easements, ROW boundaries, Property
Lines, Environmentally Sensitive Areas (and other overlay zones). Consultant shall confirm the vertical and horizontal datum's for use as the basis of the topographic survey prior to the start of work. Consultant shall also provide a schedule for the progression of work and deliverables on Contract Documents. Provide 3 (three) hardcopies of the completed topographic survey with all wet and dry (surface and sub-surface utilities), surface improvements and encumbrances accurately plotted, and in digital AutoCAD 2002 format, with plotting conventions as requested by the architect and/or engineer of work.
