The City of Del Mar, OWNER, invites sealed bids for:

FY2012 - SEWER MAIN CLEANING, VIDEO INSPECTION,
AND DISPOSAL OF WASTE PRODUCTS

BID DOCUMENTS:
Contract documents, containing Proposal Forms, Agreement, Specifications, and Drawings may be obtained online from ebidboard.com, or from aescantech.com (AE Scantech Inc.), located at 7283-H Engineer Road, San Diego CA 92111, at (858) 495 0727, for the non-refundable cost of printing.

RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, located at 1050 Camino del Mar, Del Mar, California, until 2:00 PM, May 15, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

BID SECURITY: Bid Security shall accompany the bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount.

PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent (100%), and a Performance Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.

WAGE RATES: The CONTRACTOR shall pay wages to CONTRACTOR's employees according to the current "General Prevailing Wage Rates" issued by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California.

CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING LAWS: CONTRACTOR is required to be licensed under the classification of GENERAL ENGINEERING CONTRACTING, CLASS A as of the date of submittal of the bid documents and shall maintain such license until final acceptance of the work. CONTRACTOR shall also obtain a City of Del Mar business license.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to Joe Bride, Public Works Deputy Director, for the project listed. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone. Questions shall be in writing and must be delivered at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids to 2240 Jimmy Durante Boulevard by hand, email to jbride@delmar.ca.us, or by FAX addressed to Public Works Deputy Director at (858) 481-0254.

OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the OWNER.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the North County Transit District (“NCTD”) at the NCTD offices, 810 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054, up to 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 for the Solana Beach HVAC System Retrofit project.
Project Description:  Replace heat pump condensers, indoor coil and retrofit system.  The Scope of Work provides a complete detailed description of the work.
Contractor’s License:  The successful bidder shall possess, at the time the contract for the Project is awarded, the California Contractor’s License Classification C20. 
Engineers Estimate:  $50,000

Pre-Bid Conference: No Pre-bid conference is scheduled; however Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the project site.
Compliance with Labor Code Requirements/Prevailing Wages: The work falls into the category of public works construction projects for Federal and State requirements.  The successful bidder will be required to comply with all of the terms and conditions (including Federal and State General Prevailing Wage requirements) prescribed for contractors performing public works construction projects.
