Bids shall be received in the PURCHASING OFFICE OF CAJON VALLEY UNIONSCHOOL DISTRICT located at 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
A job walk will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 10:00 A.M. at Montgomery Middle School, 1570 Melody Lane, El Cajon, CA 92019 , for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. It is imperative that all bidders attend this conference.

Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents. Bid packages and plans may be picked at the Purchasing Department, 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020, there will be no deposit. Please call (619) 588-3010 to confirm bid packages and plans are ready for pick-up. Bid packages and plans will also be available at the job walk.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
Cajon Valley Union School District will require a payment bond issued by an admitted surety approved to conduct business in the State of California in the form set forth in the contract documents from the successful bidder regardless of the contract amount.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Prevailing Wage Determinations are available on the Internet under the Director of Industrial Relation's website: http:///www.dir.ca.gov
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids , three percent (3%) participation is encouraged. Bidders are encouraged to publish ads in a trade paper and DVBE focus paper as a good faith effort and provide any documentation with their bid.
This contract is not subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: C-27, Landscape, or A, General Engineering, or B, General as appropriate.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

NTC PARK SITE, PHASE 1 & PARK SITE PERIMETER ROADWAYS

Sealed bids are requested by McMillin NTC, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company, for construction of NTC Park Site, Phase 1 & Park Site Perimeter Roadways located at Liberty Station, in the City of San Diego, California. Improvements consist of construction and completion of minor grading, storm drain, sewer, water, dry utility, street, parking lot or park lighting, trash enclosure, chain link fencing, park signage, play structures or equipment, park appurtenances, concrete paving, curb, gutter, walks, play top surfacing, street surfacing, parking lot, irrigation, landscape, comfort stations and other miscellaneous work. Project estimate range is $4,700,000 to $5,000,000.
Bids, accompanied by an acceptable ten percent bid/proposal bond, will be received, publicly opened and read at 2:00 P.M. (P.D.T.) on the 14th day of June 2005, with a City of San Diego authorized representative in attendance, at the following location.
