Notice is hereby given that the San Diego Unified Port District (SDUPD) has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR), pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), for the abovementioned project. The project also includes a 5-acre public rooftop park/plaza space atop the Phase III Expansion. The Project site is approx. 21 acres, generally located south of Harbor Dr, east and west of Park Blvd. The project also includes an amendment to the SDUPD Port Master Plan. The project site includes areas present on the lists enumerated under §65962.5 of the Government Code, which are discussed in Section 4.7, Hazards and Hazardous Materials, of the Draft EIR.
The Draft EIR and all referenced documents are available for public review during normal business hours at the SDUPD Office of the District Clerk, 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101. The Draft EIR can be viewed online at http://www.portofsandiego.org, and a copy is also available for review at San Diego Central Library. A CD copy of the Draft EIR can be obtained by calling (619) 686-6283. . Please be advised in advance that requests for extension of the public review period will not be granted due to the time-sensitivity of the Proposed Project and extensive public outreach performed for the Proposed Project by the SDUPD and the Project proponents.
