Bids shall be received in the PURCHASING OFFICE OF CAJON VALLEY UNIONSCHOOL DISTRICT located at 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
A job walk will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 10:00 A.M. at Montgomery Middle School, 1570 Melody Lane, El Cajon, CA 92019 , for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. It is imperative that all bidders attend this conference.

Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents. Bid packages and plans may be picked at the Purchasing Department, 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020, there will be no deposit. Please call (619) 588-3010 to confirm bid packages and plans are ready for pick-up. Bid packages and plans will also be available at the job walk.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
Cajon Valley Union School District will require a payment bond issued by an admitted surety approved to conduct business in the State of California in the form set forth in the contract documents from the successful bidder regardless of the contract amount.
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Prevailing Wage Determinations are available on the Internet under the Director of Industrial Relation's website: http:///www.dir.ca.gov
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids , three percent (3%) participation is encouraged. Bidders are encouraged to publish ads in a trade paper and DVBE focus paper as a good faith effort and provide any documentation with their bid.
This contract is not subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: C-27, Landscape, or A, General Engineering, or B, General as appropriate.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

McMillin Otay Ranch, Village 7, Public Roadway Improvements

Sealed bids are requested by McMillin Otay Ranch, LLC, for construction of portions of Magdalena Avenue, Wolf Canyon Loop Road, Peabody Way, Rock Mountain Road and Bob Pletcher Way, Phase 1 located at McMillin Otay Ranch, Village 7, in the City of Chula Vista, California. Improvements consist of construction and completion of minor grading, median drain, sewer, water, electric, gas, telephone, cable t.v., street or pathway lighting, traffic signals, concrete, enhanced paving, concrete band/pavers, street surface, irrigation sleeves and other miscellaneous work. Project estimate range is $9,700,000 to $10,000,000.
Bids, accompanied by an acceptable ten percent bid/proposal bond, will be received, publicly opened and read at 2:00 P.M. (P.D.T.) on the 7th day of June, 2005, with a City of Chula Vista authorized representative in attendance, at the following location.

FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CENTER (TMC)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of San Marcos Engineering Division (City) is soliciting proposals for implementation of its Traffic Management Center (TMC). The consultant will be responsible for design and implementation of the said TMC. This center will be used to manage the traffic signal operation and traffic surveillance of the entire City including data communication via QuicNet 4 and surveillance camera operations.
PRE PROPOSAL CONFERENCE AND INQUIRIES
A Pre Proposal Conference will be held on June 7, 2005, at 9:00 a.m., in the "Valley of Discovery" Room at San Marcos City Hall, 1 Civic Center Drive, San Marcos, California. Consultants may visit the proposed location of TMC and the existing equipments.
Questions or comments regarding this RFP must be in writing and must be received by the CITY no later than 5:00 P.M., Pacific Standard Time on Monday, June 13, 2005.
