Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on MAY 31, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2005 at the project site, 17953 Dos Picos park Road, Ramona, CA 92065. Contract documents may be examined or purchased on or after Monday, May 9, 2005 for the sum of $50.00 per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting. Contractor license requirement is "A", General Engineering Contractor. Cost estimate is $165,000 to $175,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for construction of Woodside Avenue Water Quality Basin, Oracle Project No. 1005908, ARMS Activity No. FC4401, (RFB 706).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work to be Done consists in general of constructing a permanent water quality control basin. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $600,000.00 to $650,000.00. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $17.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Suite 1111, (Bldg 11, MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123-1249. Full-size plans may be obtained at the Department of Purchasing and Contracting, referenced above, at an additional cost of $0.50 per sheet (including tax). Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. Full-size plans will not be sent to full-size plan holders when plans are revised and issued as addenda unless re-ordered. Only revised reduced plans will be issued as necessary with addenda. Full-size plans will contain only the revisions made to the plans at the time of issuance. The County of San Diego is soliciting responses to a Request For Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) 740 from qualified General Engineering Contractors to provide debris removal, installation of stormwater pipe and culverts, excavation and repair of slopes, sinkholes and slopes.
During the months of January and February 2005 the County experienced severe rain events that have caused major damage to County roads, drainage structures, channels, slopes, culverts, floodwalls, and drainage pipes. The list of qualified contractors established from this RFSQ will then be used for bidding out needed repair work at approximately 40 individual sites; each site will vary in dollar value; sites may be bundled for bidding purposes. Estimated total cost for all repairs ranges from $5-$7 million. Multiple contracts will be awarded from the list. Only pre-qualified prospective bidders will be invited to bid individual site-work. County objective is to have all work completed before the next rainy season begins. Work to be Done consists in general of removing debris and silt from flood control channels and culverts, constructing floodwalls, retaining walls, and placing erosion control material (rip rap, etc.), installing stormwater pipes and culverts, repairing or constructing new drainage structures, excavating soil and repairing slopes, slides, slipouts, and repairing sink holes and washouts. Contractors shall possess a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation: The County of San Diego, as a manner of policy, encourages participation of disadvantaged and disabled veterans business enterprises.
