NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work at the Public Works Department, Public Works Contracting Group, 1010 Second Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified. Plans and specifications can be obtained from The City of San Diego's website: http://www.sandiego.gov/bids-contracts. A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. Bids/proposals from small businesses, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and local firms are strongly encouraged. Contractors are encouraged to subcontract and/or participate in joint ventures with these firms. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE 6, DIVISION 3 OF THE SAN DIEGO MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 156.0310 AND 156.0313; BY AMENDING TABLE 156-0313-D AND FIGURE G ALL RELATING TO VIEW CORRIDORS AND TRANSPORTATION DEMAND MANAGEMENT IN THE
CENTRE CITY PLANNED DISTRICT.

This ordinance accepts the suggested modification of the California Coastal Commission and amends the Centre City Planned District Ordinance to prohibit elevated pedestrian walkways and other uses within existing or designated view corridors without compelling safety reasons and unless no feasible alternatives are available. In addition, the ordinance amends the Transportation Demand Management point calculation table to reduce the points available for providing a shuttle within a described area of downtown San Diego area.

This ordinance contains a notice that a full reading of this ordinance is dispensed with prior to its final passage, a written or printed copy having been available to the City Council and the public prior to the day of its passage.

This ordinance shall not take effect until the date the California Coastal Commission unconditionally certifies these provisions as a Local Coastal Program amendment, or until the thirtieth day from and after its final passage, whichever occurs later.

A complete copy of this ordinance is available for inspection in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of San Diego, 2nd Floor, City Administration Building, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92101.
