The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for DON DUSSAULT PARK IMPROVEMENTS; PROJECT NO. 1015519; (BID No. 6486).

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 270, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on JUNE 17, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available to be downloaded, free of charge, from the Department of Purchasing and Contracting BuyNet website at: http://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov.
The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. Work to be done includes, in general, furnish all labor, equipment and materials for the demolition of flatwork, rubber playground surfacing, footings and existing playground etc., salvage of existing, new construction of a single ADA parking area, minor grading and drainage, modular retaining wall, electrical, playground, park furnishings, survey, landscape and irrigation. The additive alternate item to this project is a shade pavilion.

An on-sight pre-bid conference (non-mandatory) will take place on June 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM. The project is located at Don Dussault County Park, 8320 Alturas St., Fallbrook, CA 92028.

The cost of construction is estimated to be from $175,000 to $215,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. DVBE participation goal of 3% is encouraged.
