The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CHASE AVENUE SLOPE REPAIR IMPROVEMENTS; ORACLE PROJECT NO. 1017880; BID No. 6018

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 270, San Diego, California, 92123-1294, until 2:00 p.m. on June 20, 2013 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available for download at the County Buynet site: http://buynets.sdcounty.ca.gov . You must be registered at the site in order to download documents. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $420,000 to $460,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Owner, as a matter of policy, encourages the Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation for this project. SAN DIEGO COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY
NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS

Notice is hereby given that the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (the “Airport Authority”) will receive sealed proposals at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Commuter Terminal, 3rd Floor 3225 North Harbor Drive San Diego, CA 92101, until 2:00 P.M. on June 26, 2013 for:

COMMUTER TERMINAL EXTERIOR EAST-FACING WALL ART PROJECT -
METAL WALL-MOUNTED VINYL GRAPHIC MEDIA FRAMING SYSTEM - RFP

The Authority is entering into an Agreement to obtain Services needed to design, fabricate, and install a metal wall-mounted vinyl graphic media framing system on the east-facing exterior wall of the Commuter Terminal at San Diego International Airport (“Airport”). As part of the Service, the Airport shall require the Awarded Contractor to reproduce and print, an Airport provided high resolution digital file(s), onto large vinyl graphic which shall be mounted to the metal wall-mounted vinyl graphic media framing system.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on June 11, 2013, in the Authority's Board Room, 3225 North Harbor Drive, Commuter Terminal 3rd Floor San Diego, California. At the end of the conference, interested parties may visit the job site. This will be the only job site tour given, please ensure your attendance. Failure to visit the job site shall be grounds for denial of claims for changed conditions.

All questions relating to the proposal specs/drawings shall be in writing and shall be directed towards the Procurement Department. Questions will be received until 2:00 P.M. on June 18, 2013. In accordance with the provisions of the California State Labor Code, the Airport Authority has obtained the general prevailing rate of wages (which rate includes employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes) applicable to the work to be done, for straight time, overtime, Saturday, Sunday and holiday work. All labor employed on this project shall be paid no less than such minimum rates of wages.

It is the practice of the Airport Authority that certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of Airport Authority contracts. Certified DBEs with qualifying experience are encouraged to respond to the request for proposals/bids/quotes, etc.

Respondents are hereby notified that the successful Respondent will be required to provide insurance in accordance “Exhibit C - Insurance Requirements for Contractor”, contained in the Proposal documents.

In the public interest, the Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to waive any informality in a proposal.
