As a property owner, tenant or person who has requested notice, you should know that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to recommend approval, conditional approval, or denial to the City Council of the Metropolitan Airpark project. The Metropolitan Airpark would develop a master planned, four-phase development for aviation and non-aviation areas on approximately 331 acres of the 880 acres of Brown Field Municipal Airport within the Otay Mesa Community Planning area. The project requires the approval of Easement Vacations, Tentative Map Waiver and Site Development Permit.
An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) No. 208889 has been prepared for the project in accordance with State of California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines. Certification of the EIR requires the adoption of Findings and Statement of Overriding Considerations.
The decision to approve, conditionally approve, modify or deny the Metropolitan Airpark project will be made by the City Council at a future public hearing. You will also receive a notice of the City Council public hearing.
