The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF SWEETWATER LANE FITNESS IMPROVEMENTS, ORACLE PROJECT NO. 1015516; BID No. 5596. This is a Community Development Block Grant Project, a Federal Assistance Grant of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on June 12, 2012, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2012-13 ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET FOR
IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES PUBLIC AUTHORITY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Body of the County of San Diego In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority will meet in Room 310, County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, beginning on June 11, 2012 at 9:00 AM for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the proposed FY 2012-13 administrative budget. The documents detail the spending plans.
The hearings are preparatory to approving the final administrative budget. Any member of the general public may appear at these hearings and be heard regarding the increase, decrease, or omission of any item in the Proposed Administrative Budget or for the inclusion of additional items. These documents are available to members of the general public for review in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Room 402, at said Administration Center.
If necessary, the hearing may be continued from day to day until concluded, but not to exceed a total of 10 calendar days, and shall be concluded before the expiration of 10 calendar days if there are no requests or applications on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors prior to the close of the hearing. COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO

In the Matter of the San Diego County Grand Jury for the Period July 2012 through June 2013
Pursuant to Penal Code sections 904, 905 and 906:
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the eighty (80) prospective Grand Jurors are requested to appear in the Presiding Department of this Court on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at which time thirty (30) names shall be drawn by lot. Those prospective Grand Jurors, who are unable to personally attend on June 1, but are eligible to serve on the Grand Jury, must call Alison Blackwell in the Jury Services Office at (619) 450-7260, prior to June 1. Those who do not attend on June 1, or so advise Alison Blackwell of their eligibility to serve, but inability to personally attend on June 1, will not be eligible for selection on the Grand Jury. From these thirty (30) names, nineteen (19) names shall be drawn by lot and shall be impaneled as the San Diego County Grand Jury for the period July 2012 through June 2013. The remaining eleven (11) names will be maintained on a list of alternates eligible to serve in the event of any vacancies during the year.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of the Superior Court shall cause a copy of this order, along with a copy of the list of the prospective Grand Jurors showing the name of the judge who selected each person, to be published one time in the San Diego Daily Transcript, a newspaper of general circulation, pursuant to the provisions of Penal Code section 900.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Notice is hereby given that the Facilities Development Department of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (the “Airport Authority”) will receive sealed bids at 2320 Stillwater Road, San Diego, California, until 11:00 A.M. on June 15, 2012 for:

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

All questions shall be in writing and shall be directed towards the Contracts Representative. Questions will be received until 5:00 P.M. on June 8, 2012. Any questions received after that time and date will not be considered. The Contracts Representative is: Ryan Wolff, Fax: 619-400-2558, Email: rwolff@san.org.

The work includes grading, placement of aggregate base and hot mix asphalt pavement, installation of light poles, footings, fences, Employee Access Control system equipment, security cameras, and installation of storm drain pipes, structures, and a Stormwater Treatment Diversion vault.

The magnitude of this work is in the range of $4,700,000.00. The bidder must possess a valid California State Contractors License, classification A (General Engineering Contractor) at the time the contract is submitted.

Bids will be opened in public immediately following the time for receipt referenced above, in the PSA Conference Room at 2320 Stillwater Road, San Diego, California. No Bidder may withdraw a bid after the time and date set for bid opening.

A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on May 22, 2012, in the PSA Conference Room at the San Diego International Airport, 2320 Stillwater Road, San Diego, California. At the end of the conference, attendees will be escorted to the job site. The Airport Authority's representative will be present at the pre-bid conference to receive questions. The job site visit will be the only job site tour given for the project. There will be no additional opportunities for future site visits thereafter.

In accordance with the provisions of the California State Labor Code, the Airport Authority has obtained the general prevailing rate of wages (which rate includes employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes) applicable to the work to be done, for straight time, overtime, Saturday, Sunday and holiday work. All labor employed on this project shall be paid no less than such minimum rates of wages.

It is the practice of the Airport Authority that certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of Airport Authority contracts. Certified DBEs with qualifying experience are encouraged to respond to the request for proposals/bids/quotes, etc.

Bidder shall file the bonds as required by the Contract and Civil Code section 3247. The provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300 apply to this Contract.

A Notification Regarding Environmental Conditions has been included as Appendix 6 in the project specifications. This notification will serve as the Airport Authority's disclosure regarding potential hazardous materials that may be encountered during grading, excavation, trenching, and/or other ground penetration.

In the public interest, the Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informality in a bid.
