NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of San Diego (the "City Council") and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego ("Agency") will hold a hearing on June 28, 2005, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be hear, in the City Council Chambers, 12th Floor, City Administration Building, 202 "C" Street, San Diego, California, pursuant to Section 99 of the Charter of the City of San Diego and Section 33433 of the California Health and Safety Code, for the purpose of considering a proposed Disposition and Development Agreement ("DDA") between the Agency and Auburn Park Family Housing, L.L.C. ("Developer"), relating to a proposed 69-unit affordable multi-family housing apartment, with common use rooms, underground parking, courtyards, associated improvements and open-space easement improvements available to the public.
The site of the proposed project is located in the City Heights Redevelopment Project on the southwest corner of 52nd Street and University Avenue. This area is illustrated in the site map attached with this notice.
The proposed DDA lays out the conditions under which the Agency shall acquire property and sell it to the "Developer" to complete the Auburn Park Family Housing Project.
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider:
1. Proposed Disposition and Development Agreement.
2. A summary report which describes and specifies the relevant terms and conditions of the proposed Disposition and Development Agreement.
The Redevelopment and City Council will consider certifying a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) No. 43239 to cover the proposed construction of this project.
The above documents are available for public inspection and copying during regular office hours (8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) at the office of the Clerk of the Redevelopment Agency, 600 B Street, Fourth Floor, San Diego, California, 92101 or at the office of the City Clerk, 202 "C" Street, City Administration Building, 2nd Floor, San Diego, California 92101.
At any time before the date and time set forth above for the public hearing by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency, written comments on or objections to the proposed DDA may be filed with the City Clerk. Comments may also be submitted during such period on the summary report, and other documents referred to in this Notice. All persons wishing to question, comment, object to, or be heard on such matters at the public hearing will be given an opportunity to appear and be so heard. If you later desire to challenge actions of the City Council and the Agency in connection with this transaction, you could be limited to raising issues you have raised at or before the public hearing.
