Subject to conditions prescribed by Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, responses to the College’s prequalification documents for a Lump Sum contract are sought from bidders for the following project:

Prequalification of Prospective Bidders
The District has determined that bidders who submit bids on this project must be pre-qualified. Bid documents for this project will only be available to those prequalified bidders. Based on the project scope of work, the following contractor license types will qualify for this bid:

· A – General Engineering Contractor
· B – General Building Contractor
· C8 – Concrete Contractor
· C12 – Earthwork and Paving Contractor

General Description of Work
Future Bid will include providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for:

· Tennis Courts (10) – Demolition and disposal of (10) ten existing tennis
courts, perimeter fencing and adjacent sidewalk/curb & gutter
· Construction of (10) ten new post tension tennis courts, perimeter fencing,
lighting infrastructure and lighting, adjacent landscaping/irrigation, drainage,
ADA Parking and Access upgrades, required existing bathroom upgrades, and
relocation of existing overhead power lines to underground lines

Estimated Construction Cost: $2,000,000

Procedures:
A single set of prequalification documents (Qualification Questionnaire) will be available to interested bidders. To obtain a copy of the Qualification Questionnaire, forward a request via Email to Gafcon, attention Kelly Cress at kcress@gafcon.com. Provide contact person, firm name, full address, telephone number, facsimile number, and e-mail. The Qualification Questionnaire will be mailed to the requesting firms. If desired, the Qualification Questionnaire can also be picked up during normal business hours directly at the Gafcon site office located at North end of parking lot #4A at Grossmont College – 8800 Grossmont College Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020.

The prequalification documents can be accepted any time after Monday, June 2, 2014 but no later than Monday, June 16, 2014, 2:00 pm at:

The District reserves the right to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information after the above date and time at its sole determination.

Contractors will be notified by letter whether or not they are prequalified no later than Monday, June 30, 2014.
Following is the anticipated bidding schedule:

(Note: The Project Master Schedule and Bidding Schedule is contingent upon DSA Approval of Construction Documents prior to commencement of public bid process)

1. Bidding Documents available to prequalified bidders: early July, 2014

2. Bid Opening: late August, 2014

The bid dates above are for informational purpose only. The actual dates can differ from the above dates.

The prequalification will be determined by the application of a pass/fail evaluation of the information submitted by Contractors in the Prequalification Questionnaire.

The evaluation is solely for the purpose of determining, in a timely manner, Contractors who are deemed qualified to successfully perform the type of work included in this Project. The Contract will only be awarded to the prequalified bidder who submits the lowest responsive and responsible Lump Sum Bid.

If the District deems there is not a sufficient pool of Contractors for the prequalification process the District reserves the right to withdraw the prequalification requirements.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all responses to prequalification questionnaires and to waive irregularities in any response received.

Security & Infrastructure Upgrade Project

YWCA of San Diego County invites sealed bids from licensed, qualified Contractors to provide labor and materials necessary to update the cable infrastructure and security system including installation of a new cabling infrastructure, access control system, video surveillance system, wireless system and relocation of server room.

This project is funded by federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and the entire project is subject to Davis-Bacon Wage Determination (PREVAILING WAGE and CERTIFIED PAYROLL); and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act [12 U.S.C. 1701u and 24 CFR Part 135]. Bids from small, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned, women-owned and local businesses are strongly encouraged.
