NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the District, will receive up to, but not later than the respective dates and times indicated below, sealed bids for furnishing all labor, transportation and services for:

Bids shall be received in the Purchasing Department of the CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT at 6225 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place. Bids received after this time will be rejected and returned unopened. Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which are on file and open to public inspection in the Purchasing Department of the CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT at the above address. Each bid shall be accompanied by Bid Bond, Cash, Certified or Cashiers Check in the amount of 10% of the bid amount.

Bid packet, forms and plans and specifications are available at the District Office, 6225 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009, Purchasing Department. Call Rosemary Monderine, Sr. Buyer, prior to picking up bid at (760) 331-5063.

Mandatory pre-bid conference/walk-through will be held as follows:

All bidders will meet at Pacific Rim Elementary, 1100 Camino de Las Ondas, Carlsbad Ca, 92009 at Front Parking Lot on the date and time specified.

Interested bidders shall call (760) 331-5063 in advance to confirm attendance at the pre-bid meeting/walk-through.

FAILURE TO ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE/WALK-THROUGH WILL BE CONSIDERED NON-RESPONSIVE AND ANY BID SUBMITTED WILL BE REJECTED.

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification:
D24-Metal Products Contractor.

The CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this Notice, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, gender, or national origin in consideration for an award.

Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to the statutes of the State of California, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this type of work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file on the government web page: www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/PWD/Southern.html

It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom this contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the said specified rates to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract, and to post at the site, a copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Grossmont Union High School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 pm, July 23, 2013, sealed proposals for:

Any proposal received later than the specified time, whether delivered in person or mailed, shall be disqualified.

The evaluation criteria specified in the Request for Proposal will be used to determine which of the proposals provide the best quality for Grossmont Union High School District at the most economical cost. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the proposal(s) that is determined to be the most favorable to the District. Recognizing that there are important considerations other than price, the District may not necessarily award to the lowest proposer.

Proposals must be effective for ninety (90) days following deadline for the receipt of proposals.

1. Notice: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of Mono County Office of Education for Urban Corps Charter School of San Diego County (hereinafter referred to as (UCCS), is requesting proposals for vended meals for the food service program.
No offer of intent should be construed from this legal notice that Mono County Office of Education (for UCCS) intends to enter into a contract with the interested company for vended meals unless, in the sole opinion of Mono County Office of Education, it is in the best interest of Mono County Office of Education to do so. Mono County Office of Education reserves the right to negotiate final contractual terms with the successful company.
2. Submittal: Written proposals must be sealed and filed with Mono County Office of Education at the address shown above no later than 4:00 pm, Friday June 28, 2013 and will be opened in public at that time.
3.Withdrawal: Companies may not withdraw proposals for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of proposals.
4. Rejection: The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity therein. Proposals will be studied and a recommendation will be made to the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting.
