The Board of Tri-City Healthcare District (Tri-City) invites and will receive bids from qualified firms licensed in the classification of Class B Contractor or Class C Specialty Contractor for the following:

1 North Remodel - Cabinetry

The project area is located in the 1 North Orthopedic Wing of Tri-City Medical Center As further specified in the contract documents, the work includes furnish and install pre-furnished, built-in cabinetry consisting of double wardrobe, double dresser, double head board units, and vanity cabinet, demolition of current cabinetry. Bid packages are available starting June 25, 2012 at Tri-City Medical Center - Facilities Management Department located at the above address.

A pre-bid meeting and tour is scheduled for 1:00 p.m on July 9, 2012 at the Facilities Conference Room at the above address. All questions relative to the work must be submitted via email to by 3:00 p.m. on July 13, 2012, at fuentesjm@tcmc.com.

All bids must be submitted in writing, sealed and filed in the Tri-City Facilities Management Department at the above address, by 3:00 p.m. on July 23, 2012 at which time they will be opened for consideration.

As applicable for the goods and services bid upon, pursuant to Labor Code section 1770 the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations. A bid security bond, in an amount not less than 10% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a payment bond and a performance bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price as a condition precedent to the contract. In accordance with the procedures stated in California Public Contract Code section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance of the work.

The CAJON VALLEY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT will receive sealed bids for:

at the office of the Purchasing Department, 225 Roanoke Road, El Cajon, California 92020, no later than Monday, July 9, 2012, two o'clock (2:00:00) p.m., at which time or thereafter said bids will be opened and read aloud. Time determined by internet: http://www.time.gov. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for 90 calendar days after the bid opening date.

Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents from the Purchasing Department, for no deposit. It is the Bidder's responsibility to ensure they have received all addendums. Addendums are posted on the District website, www.cajonvalley.net.

Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price.
A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Prospective bidders may contact James Beard, Director of Facilities, Maintenance & Operations (619) 588-3023, to make arrangements to visit the site to become acquainted with the work sites for the projects.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the Contract Documents, the non-collusion declaration, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the bid documents.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract, regardless of the contract amount. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California with a rating of A++, A+, A, or no less than A-.
Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by District to ensure his performance under the Contract.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr. A copy of these rates shall be posted by the successful bidder at the job site. The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) under him, shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: B-General.
Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3400(b), if the District has made any findings designating certain materials, products, things, or services by specific brand or trade name, such findings and the materials, products, things, or services and their specific brand or trade names will be set forth in the Project Specifications.
Minority, women, and disabled veteran (DVBE) contractors are encouraged to submit bids and bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to contact and utilize DVBE subcontractors and suppliers, providing documentation with their bid.

Award of Contract: The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.

NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS FOR VENDED MEALS

1. Notice: is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of EJE Academies is requesting proposals for vended meals for the food service program.

No offer of intent should be construed from this legal notice that the EJE Academies (EJE Elementary Academy & EJE Middle Academy) intends to enter into a contract with the interested company for vended meals unless, in the sole opinion of EJE Academies, it is in the best interest of the EJE Academies to do so. EJE Academies reserves the right to negotiate final contractual terms with the successful company.

2. Submittal: Written proposals must be sealed and filed with EJE Academies at the address shown above no later than June 27, 2012 @ 4:30pm and will be opened in public at that time.

3. Withdrawal: Companies may not withdraw proposals for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of proposals.

4. Rejection: The EJE Academies Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity therein. Proposals will be studied and a recommendation will be made to the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting.
