MTS hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (as defined in 49 CFR Part 26) will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.

This project is subject to a capital assistance grant between San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), San Diego Transit Corporation (SDTC), and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for GOODAN RANCH FIRE RECOVERY PROJECT; PROJECT NO. 1007477 (RFB 1517).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on JULY 12, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on June 27, 2006 at the project site, Sycamore Canyon/Goodan Ranch Preserve, 16281 Sycamore Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92071 (Thomas Guide Pg. 1211/C7). All Contractors meet at Upper Staging Area to park. Contract documents may be examined or purchased for the sum of $50.00 per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting. Contractor license requirement is “A”, General Engineering Contractor; or “B”, General Contractor. Cost estimate of construction is $1,300,000 to $1,500,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply.
