REQUEST FOR BIDS - SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY

The Board of Education of the San Diego Unified School District of San Diego County, California, invites and will receive sealed bids at the Maintenance & Operations Center, 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA 92111, until
2:00 P.M. on
JULY 7, 2005

For the sale of personal property generally described as: MODULAR RELOCATABLE BUILDINGS.
Bids must be submitted on forms prepared by the San Diego Unified School District, including all applicable forms contained in the bid package. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above specified time and date. Any bids received after the time and date shown above will be rejected and returned to the bidder.
Inspection of the buildings will be held on two (2) dates: 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 and 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. A District staff member will be present from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on each date to show the buildings and answer any questions. These are the only times and dates in which inspections will be conducted. The address where the buildings are located is Standley Middle School, 6298 Radcliffe Drive, San Diego, CA 92122. Do not go to the site prior to or after the two inspection dates as school personnel will not be available to show the buildings.
Bid forms and other pertinent documents may be obtained from the District Contracts Management Office, at 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA 92111, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Bidders are required to submit a Good Faith Deposit with their bid, in the form of a cashierÕs check or certified check only, of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for each unit being bid on, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute purchase upon final acceptance of his/her tentatively accepted highest bid price, and will be declared forfeited if the successful high bidder refuses to execute the purchase after being requested to do so by the District. Failure to post a Good Faith Deposit at time of bid will result in the bidders offer being rejected as non-responsive to the bid terms and conditions.
The San Diego Unified School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of any bid, or to waive any irregularities, or informalities in the bids, or in the bidding.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.
