Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Phone: (916) 445-8889, One Capitol Mall, Suite 410, Sacramento, CA 95814, up to 2 P.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read for performing the work as follows:
Project A - New Well at Paso Picacho
Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: 1) Install approximately 900 LF of 2-inch water main and necessary appurtenances using low-impact equipment to connect the new well at Paso Picacho to the existing distribution system; 2) Install a check valve at the breaker tank; and, 3) Install all new mechanical piping, water treatment systems, electrical systems, and wireless telemetry to the existing New Well at Paso Picacho.
AND
Project B - Clean - Repair - Telemeter Water Storage Tanks
Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: 1) Remove existing pipe, pumping equipment, electrical controls and appurtenances at Lift Station #3; 2) Install new pumps, piping, vault modifications, electrical controls and appurtenances and a variable frequency drive for the new Lift Station #3; and, 3) Install a SCADA telemetry system to connect all four sewage lift stations to a central facility at the District Office at CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK in San Diego County, California, complete and in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to bid opening date.

For those Contractors who attended the FIRST MANDATORY JOB SHOWING on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, you are NOT required to attend a SECOND MANDATORY job showing to be held BY RESERVATION ONLY at 8:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Paso Picacho Campground Contact Station, CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK, 13652 Hwy 79, Julian, California 92036. For directions only, contact the CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK Office at (760) 765-3020. Reservations must be made no later than 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010, by emailing the Plans Counter at planscounter@parks.ca.gov. All reservation requests will be confirmed by email from DPR. If you have not received a confirmation response from DPR by 10:00 a.m., July 23, 2010, please contact the Plans Counter at (916) 445-8889. The Mandatory Job Showing could take up to three-to-four hours to view four (4) tanks and five (5) different sites. This job showing will be the only opportunity made available for prospective bidders to view the site with park personnel.
Bids will only be considered from a Prime Contractor that attended either one of the two (2) MANDATORY JOB SHOWINGS - Tuesday, June 8, 2010 OR Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
The bidder agrees to complete all work within TWO HUNDRED TEN DAYS (210) calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work.

The Rainbow Municipal Water District (District) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the Lift Station #2 Replacement Project. Description of work: Install new submersible pump station, including civil, mechanical, structural and electrical improvements. The project requires phased demolition and construction. The existing lift station shall remain in operation until the new pump station has been accepted by the District. The construction cost estimate is $1.5M.
Sealed bids will be received only at Rainbow Municipal Water District, 3707 Old Highway 395, Fallbrook, CA 92028 on August 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. There is “no” prebid meeting for this project.
