NOTICE OF CANCELED AND RE-SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING

As a nearby property owner, tenant, or interested individual, you should know that the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) has canceled and rescheduled the hearing previously noticed for Thursday, July 31, 2008 before the CCDC Hearing Officer to approve, conditionally approve or deny an application by San Diego Community Treatment Center for the extension of Conditional Use Permit (CUP) No. 40-0111; allowing the continued operation of a correctional/rehabilitation program for up to 42 residents in an existing 6,000 square foot building located at 502 Tenth Avenue, in the East Village District of the Downtown Community Plan Area. This hearing has been rescheduled and will be heard before the City of San Diego Planning Commission on the date and time listed below.

Copies of the application for the project are available for public review in the offices of CCDC located at 225 Broadway, Suite 1100, San Diego, 92101.

The decision of the Planning Commission can be appealed to the City Council. An application for appeal must be filed within 10 business days of the Planning Commission's decision. In order to appeal any decision to the City Council, you must attend the hearing or express interest in writing to the Project Manager or Planning Commission prior to the decision date. Any appeals must be submitted to the City of San Diego City Clerk's Office, 202 “C” Street, 2nd Floor, San Diego, California, 92101.

If you wish to challenge the City's action on the above proceeding in court, you may be limited to addressing only those issues you or someone else have raised at the public hearings described in this notice, or written correspondence to CCDC or the City of San Diego at or before the public hearings.

This information will be made available in alternative formats upon request. To request an agenda in alternative format or to request a sign language or oral interpreter for the meeting, call the Disability Services Coordinator at 236-5979 at least five working days prior to the hearing to insure availability.
