Notice is hereby given that the San Diego County Water Authority (“Water Authority”) is accepting proposals for the following:

Request for Proposals: Design and Printing of Annual Report

Proposals must be received by the
Water Authority on or before 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Copies of the solicitation document can be picked up at the Water Authority's San Diego Office, 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or may be viewed at https://www.govbids.com/scripts/TheNetwork/public/info/regoptions.asp.

Pre-Proposal Meeting: Wednesday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Room of the San Diego County Water Authority at the address stated above

Under the direction and editorial supervision of the Water Authority's Public Affairs Department, the contractor awarded this project, shall design, produce and provide the Water Authority's annual report as described in the scope of work presented in the Request for Proposal.

GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING SIGNIFICANCE
FOR CULTURAL RESOURCES (ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND HISTORICAL)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Diego, Land Use and Environment Group is proposing to adopt Guidelines for Determining Significance for Cultural Resources (Archaeological and Historical). The proposed Guidelines for Determining Significance for Cultural Resources can be reviewed on the World Wide Web at http://www.sdcounty.ca.gov/dplu/ceqa_public_review.html, or at the Department of Planning and Land Use (DPLU), Project Processing Counter, 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite B, San Diego, California 92123. Comments on these proposed Guidelines must be sent to the DPLU address listed above and should reference the project number, name, and be forwarded to the attention of Donna Beddow. Comments can be forwarded via e-mail to donna.beddow@sdcounty.ca.gov.

(MISC 06-024). The Guidelines for Determining Significance for Cultural Resources will be used by County staff during the review of discretionary projects and environmental documents pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for projects within the unincorporated area of San Diego County. These Guidelines present a range of quantitative, qualitative, and performance levels for particular environmental effects. Normally, (in the absence of substantial evidence to the contrary), non-compliance with a particular standard stated in these Guidelines will mean the project will result in a significant effect, whereas compliance will normally mean the effect will be determined to be “less than significant.” Comments on the proposed Guidelines for Determining Significance for Cultural Resources must be received no later than August 16, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. (a 30-day public review period). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Public Works of the County of San Diego will conduct a public hearing on a request for Map Modification of Parcel Map 10265, as follows:
HEARING INFORMATION:
Date: August 9, 2006
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Location: County Operations Center Annex, 5201 Ruffin Road,
Suite D, in the Department of Public Works Conference Room.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION: This proposed map modification is located in the Valley Center area on Covey Lane. The map modification as proposed would change the access to Parcel 4. Currently the recorded map shows access from Covey Lane along the westerly boundary of Parcel 1. The proposed change would access Parcel 4 from Covey Lane over and across Parcel 1 approximately 350' easterly of the westerly boundary of Parcel 1. This proposed modification is shown on the attached exhibit. This is the only change requested under this map modification.
