Why It Works
A Job Order Contract (JOC) is a competitively procured, firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract. It includes a collection of detailed construction, repair and remodel tasks and specifications that have established unit prices. It is placed with a Contractor for the accomplishment of construction, repair, alteration, modernization, rehabilitation, etc., of infrastructure improvements. The initial contract will be particularly related to roadways and appurtenances. Future contracts may include buildings, structures, or other real property. Authorizing work is accomplished by means of issuing a Job (Work) Order against the Contract.
It is anticipated that the City will be issuing a Request for Proposals for the first JOC within the next 30 days.
