Sealed bids, addressed to the City of La Mesa, 8130 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, California, will be received at the City Hall Information Counter until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened, for furnishing plant, labor, material, and equipment and performing all work required for:
Jackson Park and Briercrest Park Fencing project. Engineers Estimate for the project is between $20,000 and $25,000.
Classification of valid contractor's license which the Prime Contractor must have at the time of bid and contract award: A or C-13. No bid will be awarded to a Contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Jackson Park, 5870 Jackson Drive, La Mesa, CA 91942.
Bids will be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank forms of proposal furnished by the City. See Information for Bidders and other contract documents for bidding procedure and other requirements of said bid.
The right is reserved by the City to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in bids received. Plans, Specifications, Information for Bidders, Bid Bond form, Performance and Payment Bond forms, Standard and Special Conditions, and Form of Agreement may be secured from the office of the City Engineer, 8130 Allison Avenue, on payment of $ 25.00 (non refundable), plus $ 10.00 if mailing is requested. Bids shall be made in accordance with the prevailing hourly rate of per diem wages for this locality and project as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1770 et seq., a copy of which is on file with the City Engineer at 8130 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, in accordance with the provisions of Labor Code Section 1773.2, which prevailing hourly rate of wages is made a part of this notice by reference as though fully set forth herein.
The City Council of the City of La Mesa, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.
All bids will be compared on the basis of the Base Bid.
The particular attention of prospective Bidders is hereby directed to the applicable sections in the specifications for full directions and requirements as to submittal of bids, bonds, insurance, and agreements.

CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK - Rehabilitate Water System Throughout Park
Project A and Project B

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Phone: (916) 445-8889, One Capitol Mall, Suite 410, Sacramento, CA 95814, up to 2 P.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read for performing the work as follows:
Project A - New Well at Paso Picacho
Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: 1) Install approximately 900 LF of 2-inch water main and necessary appurtenances using low-impact equipment to connect the new well at Paso Picacho to the existing distribution system; 2) Install a check valve at the breaker tank; and, 3) Install all new mechanical piping, water treatment systems, electrical systems, and wireless telemetry to the existing New Well at Paso Picacho.
AND
Project B - Clean - Repair - Telemeter Water Storage Tanks
Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: 1) Remove existing pipe, pumping equipment, electrical controls and appurtenances at Lift Station #3; 2) Install new pumps, piping, vault modifications, electrical controls and appurtenances and a variable frequency drive for the new Lift Station #3; and, 3) Install a SCADA telemetry system to connect all four sewage lift stations to a central facility at the District Office at CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK in San Diego County, California, complete and in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to bid opening date.

This project was previously bid on June 24, 2010 (C09E0035). See Addendum 1 for first mandatory job showing attendees and pre-bid meeting/job walk minutes. For those Contractors who attended the FIRST MANDATORY JOB SHOWING on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, you are NOT required to attend a SECOND MANDATORY job showing to be held BY RESERVATION ONLY at 8:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Paso Picacho Campground Contact Station, CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK, 13652 Hwy 79, Julian, California 92036. For directions only, contact the CUYAMACA RANCHO STATE PARK Office at (760) 765-3020. Reservations must be made no later than 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010, by emailing the Plans Counter at planscounter@parks.ca.gov. All reservation requests will be confirmed by email from DPR. If you have not received a confirmation response from DPR by 10:00 a.m., July 23, 2010, please contact the Plans Counter at (916) 445-8889. The Mandatory Job Showing could take up to three-to-four hours to view four (4) tanks and five (5) different sites. This job showing will be the only opportunity made available for prospective bidders to view the site with park personnel.
Bids will only be considered from a Prime Contractor that attended either one of the two (2) MANDATORY JOB SHOWINGS - Tuesday, June 8, 2010 OR Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
The bidder agrees to complete all work within TWO HUNDRED TEN DAYS (210) calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work.
