The Water Authority anticipates requiring one cost estimator to perform cost estimating services with a background predominantly in civil engineering for up to three years or a not-to-exceed amount of $900,000, depending on which occurs first. Additional estimating services for projects with a larger specialized nature such as electrical and instrumentation may be required. One cost estimator will report to the Water Authority's office located at 4677 Overland Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. This position may be required to report to the Water Authority's Escondido office or construction field sites during the course of work. Specialty estimator services shall be available on an as-needed basis.SMALL CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY AND OUTREACH PROGRAM:
The Water Authority's Small Contractor Outreach and Opportunities Program is designed to maximize participation of diverse, qualified, small contractors, consultants and vendors seeking to do business with the Water Authority.
Due to the limited scope of this project, the Water Authority anticipates limited subcontracting opportunities. The Water Authority does continue to promote opportunities for small business participation and encourages outreach to small firms should subcontracting opportunities become available on this project.
If subcontractors are to provide services related to this project, the Contractor must complete the following form: Schedule A-1, Designation of Subcontractors, Vendors, and Services Providers.
