Notice of Intent to Modify Floodway
The City of San Diego Engineering & Capital Projects Department, in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City's intent to revise the floodway, generally located in the vicinity of the Carroll Canyon Creek on the Scripps Park West property. Specifically, the floodway shall be revised from a point approximately 500 feet downstream of the Scripps Park West property, to the upstream property line, where a box culvert discharges on said property. As a result of the floodway revision the floodway shall remain roughly the same width, though its alignment will shift to the south approximately 50-200 feet through the Scripps Park West Property.

As a property owner, tenant, or person who has requested notice, please be advised that the Hearing Officer will hold a public hearing to approve, conditionally approve, or deny an application for a Coastal Development Permit and Site Development Permit (Barrio Logan PDO) to demolish an existing building and construct 14 two-bedroom residential for rent units on a 14,000 square foot site. The project includes requests for deviations to the development standards to allow a 20% deviation for front yard and rear yard setbacks at all stories, a 20 % deviation for side yard setbacks at second and third stories, a deviation from parking standards to accept a 2-car parking elevator as tandem parking, and a 20% deviation from total square footage of common open space requirements. The decision of the Hearing Officer is final unless appealed to the Planning Commission. In order to appeal the decision you must be present at the public hearing and file a speaker slip concerning the application or have expressed interest by writing to the Hearing Officer before the close of the public hearing.

The final decision by the City of San Diego is not appealable to the California Coastal Commission. If you want to receive a Notice of Final Action, you must submit a written request to the City Project Manager listed above.

The Cooperation Agreements are described as:
1. Agreement for Cooperation between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego and the County of San Diego relating to Joint Projects (Grantville Redevelopment Project); and
2. Agreement for Cooperation between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego and the County of San Diego relating to the funding of the North Embarcadero Public Improvements and Facilities (Centre City Redevelopment Project Area); and
3. Cooperation Agreement relating to the funding of the Transit Line Improvements by and between the City of San Diego and Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego.
The three agreements above shall be collectively referred to as the Cooperation Agreements.
Pursuant to Section 33679 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety
Code, Section 33000, et seq.), the City Council and Agency will be conducting a hearing on the approval and execution of the Cooperation Agreements.
