CALLING FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CAJON VALLEY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will receive up to, but not later than 10:00 o'clock a.m. of the 21st day of August, 2003, sealed bids for the award of a contract for:

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION
JOHNSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A mandatory pre-bid walk will be held Thursday, August 14, 2003, 10:00 a.m. Contractors are to meet at the Purchasing Department, 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, CA 92020.
Bids shall be received in the office of the Purchasing Office of the Board of Education of said District located at 535 Vernon Way, El Cajon, California and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents. Please call Sherill Kelsen, Buyer at (619) 588-3001 to reserve your set of documents. Bid documents will also be available at the job walk.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the Contractor's Certificate regarding Worker's Compensation, Bid Form, Bid Bond, Designation of Subcontractors, Contractor's Statement for Maintaining A Drug-Free Workplace, and Noncollusion Affidavit.
Cajon Valley Union School District will require a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California in the form set forth in the contract documents from the successful bidder regardless of the contract amount.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Prevailing Wage Determinators are available on the internet under the Director of Industrial Relations website: http://www.dir.ca.gov
It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in one of the following classifications: A; C-13 or C-61/D-34
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the set for the opening of bids.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Northern Service Center, Phone: (916) 653-4274, One Capitol Mall, Suite 500, Sacramento, CA 95814, up to 2 P.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read for performing the work as follows:

NOTICE OF INVITING BIDS
The City of Del Mar, OWNER, invites sealed bids for:
CONSTRUCTION OF 25th STREET RESTROOM, LIFEGUARD TOWER,
AND STREET END IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City of Del Mar, located at 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, California, 92014, until 2:00 p.m. on August 26, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at said office.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The WORK to be done in general consists of: public beach improvements, including handicapped access, lifeguard tower rehabilitation, and installation of permanent restrooms and other amenities. The improvements and construction will include but not limited to 6" PVC storm drain pipes, area drains, trench drain, pre-cast concrete sand trap vault, a new restroom building with plumbing facilities, concrete stairs with handrails, concrete walkways, 6" wide curb, concrete walls, new cantilever balcony, sea wall cut-out, pay phone, water fountain, bench, showers, handicap parking space, and landscaping.
SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is at the westerly terminus of 25th Street in the City of Del Mar, California.
COMPLETION OF WORK: All WORK must be completed within 120 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract document books, contain-ing proposal forms, agreement, specifications, and reduced drawings, may be obtained starting July 30, 2003 from Scantech, Inc. located at 7283-H Engineer Road, San Diego, CA 92111 at (858) 495-0727 for the non-refundable cost of printing.
BID SECURITY: Bid Security shall accompany the bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of ten percent of the total bid amount.
PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent, and a Performance Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount.
WAGE RATES: The OWNER has obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations said Director's general prevailing wage determination for the locality in which the WORK is to be performed. Said determination is on file at the OWNER?s office and copies are available to any interested party. Not less than these rates shall be paid to all workers employed on the project.
CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING LAWS:Attention is directed to the CONTRACTOR's License Law concerning the licensing of CONTRACTOR?s. CONTRACTOR?s are required to be licensed and regulated by the CONTRACTOR's State License Board.
WITHDRAWAL: Withdrawal of bids shall not be permitted for a period of seventy-five (75) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
RETAINAGE FROM PAYMENTS: Monies withheld by the OWNER to ensure performance under the contract may be released in accordance with Government Code Section 4590 and these contract documents.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the ENGINEER for the project listed below. It shall be understood, however that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any "or equal" products be considered for approval prior to the bid opening.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the North San Diego County Transit Development Board ("NCTD") for the construction of miscellaneous bus stop pads throughout North County?at the NCTD offices, 810 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054, up to 2:00 p.m., Thursday August 14, 2003.
Bidders shall possess, at the time of bid submittal, the California Contractor's License Classification "A' or "C-8". The successful bidder must maintain the required license throughout the duration of the contract for the Project.
This work is valued by NCTD to be within the cost range of $300,000 to $ 400,000.
