Draft San Diego Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice

Under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, The City of San Diego invites citizens to participate in the preparation of the San Diego Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The AI is an analysis that represents conclusions about impediments to fair housing choice, as well as actions necessary to address any identified impediments.
Notice is hereby given that the AI is available for a 30-day public review from July 1, 2010 through July 30, 2010. The purpose of the review is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the analysis, conclusions on impediments to fair housing choice and solutions to mitigate or remove such impediments.
The draft document will be available in the reference section of all City of San Diego libraries and at the CDBG Program office located at 1200 Third Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, CA 92101. The plan will also be available for review on the City's CDBG Program website (www.sandiego.gov/cdbg/general/) and the Housing Commission's website (www.sdhc.org.).
A schedule of community meetings in which the draft AI will be presented is listed in the City's CDBG Program website. Public comments may be provided at these meetings or can be submitted in writing to the CDBG Program office in person, via mail, or via e-mail (CDBG@sandiego.gov). All information and updates regarding this process will be posted on the City's CDBG website.

the Charter of the City of San Diego authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute a Third Amendment to the
Agreement with R.W. Beck for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) consulting services for one additional year beyond five years and to increase the agreement by $98,000 contingent upon the Comptroller certifying funds.

PLEASE ACCEPT THIS AS A NOTICE TO INFORM YOU, as a property owner, tenant or interested citizen, that the Council of The City of San Diego, California will conduct a public hearing, as part of a scheduled City Council meeting, on the following project:
Matter of the appeal by David Waters from the Planning Commission's decision approving an application for a Tentative Map to convert 52 existing residential units to condominiums and waive the requirement for undergrounding overhead utilities on a 1.3-acre site at 1707 Essex Street in the MR-1000 Zone of Mid City Communities Planned District within the Uptown Community Plan.
Should the condominium conversion project be approved, tenants may be required to vacate the premises. No units may be sold in this building unless the conversion is approved by the city and until after a public report is issued by the Department of Real Estate. Each tenant has the exclusive right to contract for the purchase of his or her respective unit upon the same terms and conditions that such unit will be initially offered to the general public or terms more favorable to the tenant. The right shall run for a period of not less than 90 days from the date of issuance of the subdivision public report pursuant to Section 11018.2 of the Business and Professions Code, unless the tenant gives prior written notice of his or her intention not to exercise the right.
If you are an existing tenant within this project, you may have rights to certain benefits as outlined in San Diego Municipal Code Section 144.0503. AN ORDINANCE CALLING A MUNICIPAL SPECIAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2010, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY ONE OR MORE BALLOT PROPOSITIONS AND CONSOLIDATING THE MUNICIPAL SPECIAL ELECTION WITH THE CALIFORNIA STATE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE SAME DATE.

This Ordinance calls a Municipal Special Election in the City of San Diego to be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City one or more ballot propositions at the November 2, 2010 Municipal Special Election. This Ordinance orders the consolidation of the Municipal Special Election with the California State General Election to be held on November 2, 2010. The Ordinance provides that the precincts for the election shall be established by the Board of Supervisors and that the polls for the election shall be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on election day. The Ordinance also authorizes the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego to canvass returns of the Municipal Special Election, and for the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Diego to communicate the results to the San Diego City Clerk, who shall in turn certify the results to the Council of the City of San Diego.
This Ordinance contains a notice that, pursuant to Sections 275(c), 295(b) and 295(d) of the Charter of the City of San Diego, this Ordinance relating to elections may be passed by the City Council on the date of introduction, which date shall be deemed the date of final passage.
