Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Building 11, Suite 1111 County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on AUGUST 25, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for COUSER CANYON ROAD AND RICE CANYON ROAD STORM DAMAGE REPAIR, (RFB 905). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on September 1, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work to be Done consists in general of storm damage repair on Couser Canyon Road and on Rice Canyon Road in the vicinity of Pala. The work includes earthwork, placing aggregate base, asphalt concrete and asphalt concrete berm, constructing concrete channel lining, installing corrugated steel pipe downdrain, placing rock slope protection, providing erosion control and erosion control blanket, preparing water pollution control program, providing water pollution control and traffic control. The project is located in the vicinity of Pala. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $250,000 to $350,000. The Contractor shall possess, at the time the Contract is awarded, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, or a Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for Wildcat Canyon Road Improvements, (RFB 920). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on September 15, 2005, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Work to be Done consists in general of the widening of Wildcat Canyon Road from 490 feet south of Muth Valley Road to 700 feet north of Muth Valley Road (approximately 0.23 miles) and the widening and realignment of Wildcat Canyon Road from 1,550 feet north of Muth Valley Road to 1,400 feet north of Blue Sky Ranch Road (approximately 0.95 miles). The project includes earthwork, placing aggregate base, asphalt concrete, asphalt concrete dike and rock slope protection, placing reinforced concrete pipe and corrugated steel pipe, constructing concrete curb inlets, curb outlets, catch basins, cleanouts, headwalls, drainage channels, energy dissipaters, curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveways, erecting a precast reinforced concrete equestrian crossing, constructing crib lock retaining wall, constructing guard railing and chain link fencing, reconstructing split pole fencing, traffic control and detour signing, traffic striping and marking, preparing storm water pollution prevention plan, and implementing water pollution control measures. The project is located in the vicinity of Lakeside. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $5,000,000 to $6,000,000. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $36.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Department of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11 (MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111, San Diego, CA 92123. Full-size plans (58 sheets) may be obtained at the Department of Purchasing and Contracting, referenced above, at an additional cost of $29.00 (including tax) per set. Only complete sets of full-size plans will be sold. No refund for the cost of full-size plans will be made. Request for Statement of
Qualifications

The County of San Diego is issuing a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) 901 to all firms interested in assisting the County in the Design of the East County Sports Complex in the community of Lakeside.
The selected candidate will be required to design a new sports complex on approximately 10-acres of undeveloped parkland. Details are provided in the RFSQ 901 Scope of Services. The County is seeking firms or teams of consultants with expertise in sports complex design and community workshop facilitating. Once final design is chosen, construction drawings and specifications will be prepared.
Project costs for design are expected to range from $250,000 to $300,000.
The Request for Statement of Qualifications package including the Statement of Qualifications Questionnaire is due no later than 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2005. The Request for Statement of Qualifications and the required Statement of Qualifications Questionnaire are available at the County Internet "Buynet" site at http://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov.
