NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Diego, Land Use and Environment Group (LUEG) is requesting public review of revisions to LUEG's EIR Format and General Content Requirements, as a part the LUEG Business Process Reengineering efforts. The proposed revisions can be reviewed on the World Wide Web at http://www.sdcounty.ca.gov/dplu/ceqa_public_review.html, or at the Department of Planning and Land Use (DPLU), Project Processing Counter, 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite B, San Diego, California 92123. Comments on these proposed revisions must be sent to the DPLU address listed above and should reference the project number, name, and be forwarded to the attention of Jason Giffen. Comments can be forwarded via e-mail to Jason.Giffen@sdcounty.ca.gov.
BUSINESS PROCESS REENGINEERING (MISC 06-024). The EIR Format and General Content Requirements will be used by County staff and County approved EIR preparers to help in the preparation of useful, organized, consistent, and legally adequate EIRs in a timely and cost efficient manner. This document is intended to complement, not reproduce or replace, pertinent California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and State and County CEQA Guidelines sections governing the preparation of EIRs. Comments on the proposed revisions to the EIR Format and General Content Requirements must be received no later than September 5, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. (a 20-day public review period). The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for REMOVE AND REPLACE CONCRETE CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALKS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS COUNTYWIDE, (RFB 1533). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on August 24, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contractor shall possess, at the time the Contract is awarded, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or C-8 Concrete Contractor. The Owner, as a matter of policy, encourages the participation of disabled veteran owned businesses. Work to be Done consists in general of the removal and replacement of existing concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, cross gutters, driveways and construction of concrete curb ramps. The project is located in various areas within the County of San Diego. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $350,000 to $450,000.
