DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Install 1014 sq. ft. of 2 1/2” thick rubberized surfacing, 4” thick compacted aggregate base, and a tot-lot for 7-12 year olds. Remove and dispose of fencing and wood chips. 
BUDGET: No bids may exceed $30,000. The project is funded with C.D.B.G. grant money provided by the City of San Diego; all work prevailing wage.

The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work, in general, as follows.
  The work for Schedule A consists in general of demolition of seven warehouse and storage-type buildings believed to contain asbestos; demolition of the building foundations and asphalt and concrete pavements surrounding these buildings; re-grading the site and removing excess cut material; installing new and improved storm water conveyance and treatment devices; constructing a new asphalt, new concrete, and base pavement sections; slurry sealing the asphalt and striping the site; installing parking lot lighting and electrical enhancements; installing new landscaping; and procuring all materials and performing all other work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The work is located at the MTS South Bay Maintenance Facility at 3620, 3630, 3650 and 3650A Main Street, Chula Vista, CA.  In addition, Schedule B is an optional item that provides for six heavy duty portable lifts.  Low bid will be determined by Schedule A only (not Schedules A + B).
  The engineer's estimate for Schedule A is $4,797,000. This project is race neutral; there is no DBE nor UDBE goal.

The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work, in general, as follows.
  Installing new special track work, railroad signaling system, railroad and highway grade crossing warning system, overhead catenary system (OCS), and related civil improvements along 15 miles of the San Diego Trolley Blue Line Corridor from downtown San Diego to San Ysidro. The engineer’s estimate is $44,540,000. License required for prime contractor: A.
  This project is funded in part with FTA funding and with ARRA funding. It is race neutral; there is no DBE nor UDBE goal on this project.
  The prebid meeting will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at SANDAG, 401 B Street, 7th Floor, San Diego, in the Wells Fargo Building.
  An all-day site visit via bus will be on Wednesday, August 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. RSVP required to LTO@sandag.org.  Limit: no more than 2 people per firm. It is not possible to drive private vehicles to the sites. See details at www.sandag.org/contracts.
