“As Needed Asphaltic Concrete Paving Service - FY2007”

The Otay Water District, hereinafter referred to as “District”, hereby gives notice that bids for as needed asphaltic concrete paving services will be received by the District's Purchasing Office, located at 2554 Sweetwater Spring Blvd., Spring Valley, CA 91978 at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held at the District's Operation Facilities located at 2553 Sweetwater Springs Blvd, Spring Valley, CA 91978 at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2006. Prospective bidders will be provided with bid packages including work specifications during the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
All work is to be performed in accordance with State of California laws and statutes governing public work and prevailing wages.
Bids must be complete, submitted on the bid form provided by the District and comply with the instructions contained within the bid package. Completed bids must be received by the District on or before the submittal deadline specified in this request.
Submitted bids must be sealed in an envelope and clearly identified on the outside with the following:

“As Needed Asphaltic Concrete Paving Service - FY2007
Bid Opening: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2006”

Bids may not be submitted by telephone, telegraphic, electronic, or facsimile means. Bids received after the submittal deadline will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality, and to make any award of contract in the best interest of the District.

ON-CALL ARCHITECTURAL / ENGINEERING CONSULTANT SERVICES REGARDING THE QUIETER HOME PROGRAM AT

The Otay Water District (OWD) will require the services of a professional environmental firm (Consultant) to provide CEQA compliance services for a capital improvement project (CIP) known as the Calavo Sewer Lift Station Replacement (CIP No. S2015). The Project is located at 3700 Avocado Blvd (Thomas Bros 1271-F5) just north of State Route 94. The existing pump station has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement. Therefore, a new pump station will be constructed in the immediate vicinity of the existing wet well and pump station.
Interested candidates are required to send a Letter of Interest and a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to Elmer Alex, Otay Water District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004. If a firm has submitted a SOQ to the District within the calendar year and the qualifications remain current and accurate, then only a Letter of Interest is required.
Deadline to submit Letter of Interest and SOQ will be at 4:00 p.m. on September 8, 2006. Technical questions regarding the Professional Consultant Services should be referred to the Otay Water District Project Manager Elmer Alex at (619) 670-2247.

Tree Pruning Service RFP
The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (“Authority”) seeks proposals from qualified firms for Tree Pruning Service. Contractor shall perform tree pruning, palm tree skinning, and tree removal on Authority property. Contractor shall provide all lifting and hoisting devices for personnel, equipment, and materials as required to perform the work, and shall be responsible for the safety of all personnel and property that may be impacted by the work. Work shall be completed to the satisfaction of and subject to the approval of the Authority. Qualified firms with demonstrated experience in Tree Pruning Services must comply with the submittal requirements described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”).
