The City of San Diego is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) that describes opportunities for the operation of City Reservoir Concessions for El Capitan, Hodges, Murray, Miramar, Sutherland, and Lower Otay Reservoirs. Capable operators are invited to submit proposals, for one or all Concessions, that convey sufficient information regarding their operational expertise as well as other criteria as described in the RFP. The information submitted will enable the City to select the best Concession Operator(s) for this important recreational use of City property.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or about September 30, 2010, the City will submit a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for FY 2010 to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The CAPER is the annual report for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). The Draft FY 2010 CAPER will be available for public review at the CDBG Program office (1200 Third Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, CA 92101), the CDBG Program's website (www.sandiego.gov/cdbg/general), and the San Diego Housing Commission's website from August 31, 2010 through September 22, 2010. Notice is hereby given that the Council and the City of San Diego will consider an ordinances pursuant to Section 99 of the Charter of the City of San Diego authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute a first Amendment to Agreement with RJC Architects for the Architectural and Design Services for the La Jolla Children's Pool Lifeguard Station to increase this contract by $71,250.00; and Authorize the expenditure of $71,250 from CIP # S-00644, La Jolla Children's Pool Lifeguard Station, for the purpose of executing this first amendment to the agreement, contingent upon the City Comptroller first certifying fund availability. Consideration of the ordinance will take place at the regular City Council meeting on September 07, 2010, in the City Administration Building, council chambers, 12th floor, 202 C Street San Diego CA 92101. Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed
Community Development Block Grant
Third Substantial Amendment to the
Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Action Plan

The City of San Diego was awarded $14,852,251 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in Fiscal Year (FY) 2009. Of these CDBG funds, the San Diego Housing Commission was allocated a total of $1,277,478 for various housing and public facilities projects. The San Diego Housing Commission has requested the reallocation of $1,097,478 of these FY 2009 CDBG funds to the Parker-Kier Apartments Rehabilitation Project. The proposed reallocation of these funds would require the submission of a Third Substantial Amendment to the City of San Diego's FY 2009 Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). An electronic copy of the report summarizing the proposed reallocation and Third Substantial Amendment will be posted on the City's CDBG website at www.sandiego.gov/cdbg/general from August 11 - September 14, 2009.

The proposed reallocation and Third Substantial Amendment will be considered by City Council during their regularly scheduled meeting on September 13th or 14th, 2010 at:

Matter of approving, conditionally approving, modifying, or denying Easement Vacation for a General Utility Easement Vacation on the East Campus of UCSD to transfer sewer easements back to the University that are no longer needed by the City of San Diego due to system redesign. The sewer easement is located southeast of the Pepper Canyon apartment complex and east of Gilman Drive and runs east (perpendicular to the west edge of Interstate 5) to the west side of Medical Center Drive and Thornton Hospital. The portion to be vacated is entirely east of Interstate 5 and is located in RS-1-14 Zone, within the University Community Plan area. No construction is proposed with this action. The public easement provides service only to the UCSD campus properties and facilities.
